What Happened To The Ex No. 4 U-17 Representative?

So Ryoga just comes in, takes his spot, and then they leave to Japan? Poor guy's stuck in another country because he lost a game of tennis.

It's sad that I would seriously expect Konomi to do some foolishness like that.

He was crushed by Ryoga, the first stringers recognized Ryoga's skills and left the ex-No.4 in another country

He's stupid and won't challenged no 20 and take his spot for a ticket back.

That, or Ryoga traumatized him so badly 6-0 that he went crazy and swear not to touch tennis again.
Most of the thing I post is probably assumption if it's not a fact that I support using some evidence from the manga.

If you knows you're on my ignore list and you quote my post, there's high chance I would ignore you. Or answer you and not look at your response.

    I honestly believe they left WITHOUT a No.4 and WITHOUT a No.2.

Kaji was just a guy from the 1st Court, and that Irie or Tokugawa were both offered Top 10 positions and rejected them just before the Top 20 left.
And that No.4 originally belonged to Tokugawa or Irie but neither of them were interested.
Oni and Irie decided to stay behind and strengthen the Camp, likely after hearing that MSers would join the camp.

Tanegashima noticed 2 of his friends wouldnt go and thought ''now's my chance to not go on the plane'' and stayed behind too.

Since the 2 of them were not surprised at the MSers arrival.

Kaji was offered to go from 1st Court to No.5 as they felt 3 Top 10 places missing would be too much.

    It isnt too out there.

This would be my serious answer to why things are the way they are. I prefer my other theory of the original number 4 being killed in action, however.

Because Prince of Tennis runs in a Jump Magazine, I cant even say your theory is impossible lol.
