It helped my enjoyment a great deal that everything that happened in this episode happened within the space of a couple of days.

I agree with everyone, finally a episode without skipping through months - the coherence made the whole thing sooo much more enjoyable.

Rest was good too, the little girl was pretty cute and how she acted towards Kirito was pretty funny XD I liked the concept of killing other players too, didn't even think about players killing each other even though it seems logical. There will always be people who enjoy beating others and as long as it's only a virtual reality the inhibition threshold is obviously pretty low :/

Well, this episode was always going to be better than episode 2 and 3. I was surprised how well it worked out though. This gives me hope for episode 5,

although I still don't think that Murder Case (episode 5) can be properly condensed down into one episode.

Yeah, it is a long story. But we'll get to see Asuna, no? I miss her already.

Don't know about the other LN, but in #1 they meet only near the very end of their adventure [not LN], which seemed pretty weird.

I didn't read it yet, but I just happened to stumble across ALO...I had been wondering myself why does Kirito seems a little weird in the later volume's cover, and if they really continue to SAO alone for 10 volumes (since I find it kinda hard to believe that it's all about SAO now, taken that it seems like both the anime and the manga jumped way straight to 70th-80th floor already, despite of it being only at the beginning), so ALO kinda solve that mystery for me...but seeing that I'm not getting much into the LN yet (only got past pg.20 of vol. 1), would someone mind to spoil me about ALO? The only thing I know about it is that it's supposed to be some kind of continuation from SAO, the fact that players are divided into 9 races and they can use magic now...and the fact that for some reason which still doesn't quite make sense to me, Kirito called himself a cheater in the game...but I don't know anything else other than that. Like, how does the transition works? ._."

I even read something about Kirito being in coma or something in vol.9 or 10, so mind anyone explaining to me exactly how did that happen...I mean, is death in ALO mean death or other severe conditions in RL like SAO? If it does, then I kinda find it hard to believe that people'll actually go play it, knowing the risk already though...

LN #1 is the main story that was written first. Then, A Murder Case in the Area is a side story in LN #8 which was written long after the main story is finished. Of course, it is bound to be weird because some things would not match. But if the anime want to follow the LN closely, I think Asuna should appear in next eps and since the story in the anime is told chronologically, it can straighten the weird things that exist in LN.

I think this spoiler should exist in the Light Novel section. I can only answer questions regarding its LN in that section.

From now on, I think it's better to talk about SAO's LN in that thread and we'll focus on the anime (and maybe comparison to its LN) here.

I think Kiroto and Asuna and the guild meeting need more info as to why he was there and their convo seemed to have depth that anime didn't share previously or touch up on either. So this and the last episode felt out place - when i try to place everything together.
