Ah ! This is what Guts is dreaming every night about Griffith !
I can't help but think about a very specific scene in Berserk. Really, between what Sugou was about to do to Asuna while Kirito had to watch painfully. This and Kirito being in black with this huge sword. Feels like the author read the manga and wanted to honor this scene in his own.

Nice episode and whilst an nice episode and Asuna has been finally freed.... this did nothing for me in the over-all sense.
Felt zero emotions through out... maybe I spoiled myself too much already...
Although the scene where Krito kissed Yuri on the cheek before the log out was touching.

For whatever it's worth, I haven't read any of the novel stuff and I felt the same way. Though to be honest I've been very much skimming through the episodes of this arc, so that probably isn't entirely fair to the series on my part.

It's just that this whole arc has been creepiness, annoying characters, over-dramatic mmo stuff (without death the drama is just gone), and worst of all those Peter Pan style elf ears(I hate them sooooo much).

At least next episode might give me the vanilla AsumaXKirito-ness that I crave.

It's finally ever. Only one episode left. This final fight was so... Nothing... Between rape and violation of every mmo logic there was nothing left.
Liked the emotions but ALO itself was utter crap imho... =/
