Not to mention, I heard some people said that the anime is already a little different than the novel? ._."
What isn't a bit different to the original source material? I can't remember a single perfect addaption of any kind of media.

Too many beta testers and only a limited amount of swords.
I will just watch the episodes and read the associated chapters afterwards, they have much more detail to them until now.
Or from playing to many mmo's or watching similar anime in the past. Attacks and deaths are like that in .hack//G.U. too. I think it seems like I'm talking badly about the series, I'm not.
Read up tp chapter 5 and already kind of spoiled a bit... I'm 17% into the novel and nothing really happened, should I start with the side-story novels instead or reader more of vol1?
If you want a chronological reading order, it'd look something like:
Chapter 2/3 of Vol. 1
The First Day of Vol. 8
Aria in the Starless of Side Stories
Aria in the Starless Continuation of Material Additions
Rondo of the Transient Sword of Material Additions
Monochrome Concerto of Side Stories
Red-Nosed Reindeer of Volume 2
The Black Swordsman of Volume 2
The Progressors of Material Additions
A Murder Case in the Area of Volume 8
Cold Hand Warm Heart of Material Additions
Chapters 4-16 of Volume 1
Warmth of the Heart of Volume 2 falls somewhere between the realms of A Murder Case and chapter 18?
Morning Dew Girl of Volume 2 is somewhere around the Chapter 17-19 region.
Algade Showdown is also somewhere around the Chapter 17-19 region.
Follow the rest of the published chapters from there.
I personally liked reading through the volumes and then just having my fill of flashbacks after finishing the story up to this point.

I think I like this eps more than the previous eps. This eps tells Kirito's darkest past that will shape how Kirito acts in the future and why he keeps fighting as a solo. What happens with Black Cats affects him greatly, as we can see when he recklessly challenge Nicholas the Renegade alone.
We get to hear more music this time. The music in the trap area really fits the situation, I actually felt dread when I watched the members get killed one by one. In the LN, the incident is told as flashback so I couldn't really understand how Kirito felt but from this eps, I think I understand why he is the way he is. Leave it to Kajiura-sensei to compose such a chilling music. Kajiura-sensei picked the right instrument for background music when Kirito is remembering when Keita kills himself. The cello's low sound creates a mournful atmosphere. The music when Sachi's recording the message is really sad too... I felt like crying.
It's too bad that it isn't explained why Sachi chose to sing Red-Nosed Reindeer though it's quite significant to explain how she actually feels. Also, Sachi here is less sorrowful than Sachi in LN.
Klein is a great friend. He can see how Kirito drowns himself in regret and begs him to survive.
And yes, finally Argo the Rat shows up.
Death was more pronounced in this eps. The whole guild died just like that and Kirito who saw them die in front of his eyes has to live with the regret. All in all, it's a great eps.
I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed :/ the story is nice, the music is nice and the animation is nice but the everything feels so... shallow. It does have some nice aspects/thoughts but it feels like everything is barely touched to rush through the story.
It's still an enjoyable read but even without reading the LN I feel like they're not doing justice to the series
