Summer is here so it is time to have some fun that is why we are bringing back one of the funniest events here in MH. The MH Summer Fun Scavenger Hunt!!

Rules and Guidelines:

To enjoy the summer and have tons of fun together, MangaHelpers is hosting “The MH Summer Fun: Scavenger Hunt.” This hunt will challenge your knowledge about manga, anime and MangaHelpers.

The scavenger hunt will begin July 20th and will end on July 28th

The scavenger hunt will be broken into 8 rounds, one for each day. In the starting round a cryptic riddle will be presented by me, the hunt host, to the whole community. The rest of the forum will try to solve it. You will have 24 hrs to solve the riddle, but if the riddle has not been solved after the first 6 hrs, hints will be given. In order to solve the riddle you will need to follow different clues and visit different threads on MH.

Once you solved all 3 riddles of a day, you need to send goldb, Miyagi, naruto-niichan, Ustegius, xi0 or M3J the answer and the URL (containing the answer) via PM. We will answer you if everything's correct.

After each round a list of the people/teams that are still in the game and the ones who have been eliminated will be posted.

Once all 8 riddles have been presented, the person or the team who correctly solves the most riddles wins: a treasure filled with an awesome-looking badge and bar, a front page interview, and your own very custom title.

The winner/s will be announced on July 29th. In the situation of a tie, the tie will be broken by solving more riddles.

The purpose of “The MH Summer Fun: Scavenger Hunt” is to do something as a whole community while having the most fun during the Summer.

To participate in this scavenger hunt please post a note in this thread. Just write that you want to participate in this event, and if you are considering doing it in a team, please also write the usernames of your teammates. Only three members per team will be allowed. Each person has to make their own submission, even if they are part of the same team.

New members can join anytime during the scavenger hunt, however, they will still need to solve the current days riddle and go back and solve the previous days to pass the next round. No extra time will be given to the new players, so the people who joined the hunt from the start will keep the advantage of time over the newcomers.

Example: If a new participant joins on day 3, then he/she will need to send in day 1-3's riddles/hints/answers and catch up so that he/she can continue on like normal for the rest of the days...

I'm pretty sure all of you want to get started as soon as possible but before please read the additional rules/guideline. It will give you all the information necessary for the first 7 days:

1. You will find the first riddle of every day in this opening thread. In addition we will mention the advancing members/teams and the ones who failed to advance to the next round.
2. This first riddle will lead you to a thread – you will find the next riddle there but beware, the riddle could be in every post of the thread. It's also possible that the next riddle is just a picture so keep your eyes open. Don't worry though, the riddle/picture will be clearly visible/noticeable.
3. The third/last thread of day will include a keyword instead of a new riddle. If you find this (clearly visible) keyword you can be sure that you found the correct thread.
4. You will need to send Scavenger Hunt Host all three answers (the thread title is the answer to the riddle), including the URL of the post where the next riddle was placed.
5. We will inform you if you found the correct threads. Once the correct threads have been PMed to SH Host(with links), you will advance to the next round.
6. If you have problems to solve a riddle you CAN send a PM an hour after the round started. We will give you a hint which will help you to solve it.
→ The hints might serve as a tie breaker in the end. If two or more people solved the same amounts of riddles when the Scavenger Hunt ends, the person who used the fewest hints will win the game. That's why you should think carefully before you ask for a hint.
7. The next round starts 3 hours after the last has ended. The starting time for the first round is 2 PM GMT, 20th July which means the next round will start at 5 PM GMT, 21st July. Third round at 8 PM GMT, 22nd July and so on...

That should be everything.

Edit:

It looks like some people had a bit of a problem understanding the whole thing. I will give you an example of how your PM has to look, maybe that will make it a bit more easy

When you found all three threads you need to write us a PM which will look like this:

First Riddle leads to the "....." thread (+ URL for the post which includes the next riddle).

The riddle located there leads to "...." thread (+ URL for the post which includes the next riddle).

[What matters are the threads and the URL's]

The riddle located there leads to the last thread: "......." (URL of the thread).

[You can find the keyword in the last thread to make sure it's the right thread but you don't have to tell us. What matters is the thread.]

The "Final Hunt" has started hunters!

Bugzee, jorped and lawlett_kun reached the last round and need to work alone in this last round. This means no working together, just each one of you against each other.

Say the following in your PM: I’m here to start the final hunt!

• A game staff mod will then PM you a list of riddles after reading your request.
• You will also be given an overall time limit of 6 hours for all the riddles.
• The clock will start ticking as soon as you are sent the list of riddles.
• Failure to PM a game mod within 24 hours of this post will result in a disqualification.

Your Task

• Complete and solve as many riddles as you can within the time limit.
• The more you solve, the better chances you have of winning.
• A minimum of one riddle must be solved.

You may choose to solve any riddle(s) from the list of riddles you will be given.

Rules

• Submit all riddles when solved. Remember that every second counts!
• Any riddle that you solve successfully but fail to submit before the time limit is up will not count.
• You will NOT be ranked by how fast you solve the riddles.
• The winner is the hunter with the highest number of riddles solved!
• Sharing answers, discussing clues and other forms of collaboration will result in instant disqualification.

At the end of the hunt, everyone should've have sent in all day 1-8's riddles/answers. However, only the first person/group who sends in all the answers can win.

I'm not sure if I'm taking part in it but this bold part.. well with time zones I don't think it's fair. Last round should be made like last scav hunt a mod pms the riddles and then give a set time for the person to answer all of them if they don't they lose and the ones with the most riddles solved are the winner in case of draw the one that solved quicker would win.
