^Ahh, I got confused there, I mean takeda vs koukin lol.
As for the improvement part, the other translation does say "you never learn". In that particular case I would argue that second translation makes more sense.
I agree, overall the MS translation does not make much sense regarding cyril. The other translation, the one that said junazad probably wanted the fight with akira, makes a lot more sense. I don't think any particular yami is friends with anyone else however it did seem like the cyril and junazad treated each other rather casually.
^I trust the MS translation 100% MR is sometimes off plus it kind of goes hand in hand with what the Bewitching Fist was talking about how Jenezad's actions and behavior could affect their plans for the Eternal Sunset..perhaps that's the same reason Cyril wanted Jenezad dead despite the fact he had respect for him as a friend or fellow martial artist I don't know however it is true Jenezad wanted a death match with Akira so you could argue it both ways..

Over the years what I have noticed is that MS translations usually do have a surprising number of mistakes. I don't honestly trust it 100%. Generally what I do is actually see which parts of which translations make the most sense. In the end all translators make mistakes sometimes so for me the best method is to take what works best from each translation. In this case elements of MS translation plainly do not work all that well and the other translations seem to fit a little better.
The english grammar is usually better with MS, not necessarily the translation itself... The translators might also be changing over time.
No kenichi today!? I see no spoiler!?someone no it's we got kenichi tomorrow? .
