I've looked over these chapters over and over, and I'm utterly confused by how word rape is supposed to work.

I will say, I like how Tohno's shots produce a black colored ball. I think it just looks beastly when it's black. Contrary to Sanada's "Ka," it's the first time we've seen a black shot without a "stream" effect.
Speaking of things I don't get, what the heck is with the yodeling? That alone was able to successfully ruin the entire character.
Quick translation of chapter 84 (I translated this, so...might be some errors here and there XP I also forgot the title...whoops XP)

I don't know. Unless you tl the text which would show that it really means that, it's most likely not anything to do with some random manga series. Konomi doesn't do that much referencing to outside stuff, so it's doubtful.
It's a reference to something Konomi Takeshi probably watched a lot as a child on Saturday mornings.

It is true that we got all of those bad jokes with Momo, so I suppose anything could be possible.
Tachibana: "Can they win?"
Priceless, most logical thing anyone should have said. I mean, c'mon, do they really have hope defeating a pair who are better than a pair who gave Tezuka!Niou/Atobe a hard time?

Seeing as Kimijima opted to use his negotiation against Marui, how do you guys view Tsunawatari (and I guess by extent the rest of the Myougi techs)? Are they so strong that even No. 7 and 8 of the 1st String can't return them consistently or do Kimijima/Tohno just follow their game plan?
Also, any ideas on how Marui will deal with the 1 vs 3 situation?
"Tightrope-Walking" is still a pretty high-tier technique, given that once he hits it returning it is almost impossible. From what we've seen, Kimijima doesn't seem to be able to overturn it unless he 'makes a bargain' like we saw him do here.
Remember Chitose went Muga and used it on Tachibana and Tachibana returned it only just.
He returned it since Chitose isnt Marui and likely doesnt have the form that Marui does to make it an amazing shot, but it can be returned at least.
I'm assuming Tohno and Kimijima are better than Tachibana and should be able to see the Tightrope Walking coming eventually though.
So, Kimijima is controlling Kite and Kite is like in some "world" under Kimijima's influence? How's that possible?
