I wonder if white Zetsu is a clone of Obito since the right side is all mashed up.
But seriously, zetsu's origins as well as obito's survival is still unknown.
It may be like the hospital scene in rob schneider's The Animal where he is put back together with animal parts.
Minato was going for the kill, as he felt that Tobi had to be taken out right then and there. If anything, the Kyuubi was the secondary target, considering he had left it to Sarutobi.
Minato decided that Hiruzen was unable to stop the kyuubi and so brought kushina and naruto with him to protect them from Tobi. When he realized Kushina was too weak to take the nine tails into her he opted for plan B put it in naruto.
As for izanagi we'll never know what would have happened. Tobi might have killed him might not have. Infact we dont know whether tobi even knew izanagi back then.

Wasn't equaling them. Two different conversations. And Minato didn't bring Kushina and Naruto with him to protect them, he seemingly always intended to seal the Kyuubi in Naruto. Nor was Kushina too weak to take the Kyuubi back within her, but simply the fact that the Kyuubi was "needed" to maintain some imaginary balance. And unless he was running around with a single eye, he would have had Izanagi, and it would have been a game changer.
I'm not saying Tobi didnt have another eye( though it may be possible that he didnt until the uchiha clan massacre) but izanagi is a very dangerous jutsu. Tobi wasnt near death and he needed to break off the mask to access.his other eye. Unless Minato helped him do that I dont think Tobi would have made it. He would have had to use izanagi with his kamui eye. And I doubt he would do that.
But I still dont know why he had a one eyed mask with a sharingan hidden. He wasnt like Kakashi who would get exhausted just by letting that eye see light.Tobi is an Uchiha and I dont see the tactical advantage of hiding one eye and then loosing precious secons breaking off the mask to activate it.

Izanagi isn't all that dangerous, outside the simple lost of an eye. Nor is there any reason he would have had to break his mask to use it. It's not as if Izanagi requires eye contact. It's a genjutsu aimed at the user themselves. And honestly, if Madara can find a half dead Uchiha buried under a ton of rubble and Kabuto can find Dna of decades old ninjas, I doubt finding another usable Sharingan would have been an issue.
Doubt there will be an explanation beyond him simply liking said mask. Cause even if he was missing another eye, it's not like that would have given away his identity to people.
What's going on here. They keep talking and talking and the rocks keep levitating around them as if in space. Whoever draws the backgrounds for Naruto should get a slap on the back of their head for keeping it as surreal as possible.
