The Infinite Chakra on Edo Tensei mod

I want to explain something about the infinite chakra on edo tensei mod. Because some people misunderstand it. The infinity chakra actually is not that infinity.

But first, let's know what the chakra is in Naruto.
    http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Chakra

It is the moulding of the physical energy (身体エネルギー, shintai enerugī) present in every cell of the body and the spiritual energy (精神エネルギー, seishin enerugī) gained from exercise and experience.

Because of the edo tensei the spirit is forced to remain in living world and the body can be healed very fast so the body can't be destroyed.

In that case the undying spirit and body mean the infinite chakra.
    http://www.mangareader.net/naruto/591/17

It's even confirmed in 591. But it's not that infinity.

All living bodys have some chakra. For example let's soppose that Madara 100 and Konohamaru has 10 chakra and let's soppose the henge costs 5 chakra, the susanoo 50 and the tailed beast ball 500.

Madara and Konohamaru in edo tensei mod can do infinite number of times the henge technique. Because they have strong body enough to make a techique that costs 5 chakra.

But if Konohamaru trys to use the susanoo in edo tensei mod, he fails. His body isn't strong enough to do a techique like this but Madara is strong enough.

If you remember Muu after dividing himself, he couldn't use the Jinton jutsu. He had the infinity chakra but his body wasn't strong enough to use that techique.

In that case if Madara have tried to make a tailed beast ball, he would fail, too. The infinite chakra doesn't mean that everyone who is in the edo tensei mod could use all the jutsu.

If Madara had something like this he wouldn't have needed the 10 tails. He could use the infinity tsukuyomi by himself on everyone. Madara is already able to use the infinity tsukuyomi. He used it on Obito for show but he can't use it on everyone. He is not that strong enogh.

Re: The Infinite Chakra on Edo Tensei mod

For what it explains, I like what you wrote a lot. But you're only addressing the situation from a single dimension, so I went on a little spree to check what might happen if we proceed further.

If we factor in time, those bodily capacities you've assigned now has to take into account it's exertion and recovery rates (which may happen at differing rates too) and in return determine a sort of critical exhaustion and taper off point. It was never explained at which points components start to fail while performing a jutsu. Let's assume that all observable chakra performance require 6 [units], with Rasengan and Raikiri taking 7 [units] to perform. What's the minimum exertion rate you need to maintain before the technique collapses? And at what point will each user fail under the intensity of their own technique? For example if Kakashi somehow emulated the rates at which a frenzied Naruto would've been able to process chakra while performing a Raikiri, (assuming he could) he'd probably disintegrate.

Also more questions arise. What happens when you perform kage bunshin as a reanimated person? Then would a bigger and physically fit person become inherently able to release more chakra, given the same interval, while in this state? Mixing implies multiple constituents -- assuming Muu could've done what Naruto did with RS, would he be able to perform Jinton techs had he split the task between three of his own?

Lastly if sealing preserves order and summation of its parts (like Kyuubi inside Naruto) couldn't Madara simply produce enough Zetsus (who'll operate in parallel) to transfer enough or some arbitarily enormous amount of chakra into the Gedo Mazo (GM) to mimic the Jūbi for this purpose. Being the most fabled member of a clan capable of casting Izanami, it should be possible for him to write instructions for GM to perform periodically and then have Zetsu install chakra rods wherever he needs them to influence people.

Of course everything I wrote might be wrong and it's assuming that GM is intelligent (also no bugs in the system) yet extremely agreeable. The upsides of this method include:
    • He could do local tests to see if things pan out as it should before going full scale (again we're dealing with other human beings here)
    • Madara wouldn't risk internal bickering with the Jūbi (or it overwhelming him altogether)
    • His operation will continue with no supervision (should he choose to die and be resurrected later to enjoy the show)
    • He maintains freedom to micromanage (instructions in GM, amount of Zetsus operating it, chakra rod locations, etc.)
    • He could alter the next set of propagated information at any time
    • He could've achieved everything he desired underground without directly bothering another human being in existence

p.s. I'm surprised this thread hasn't produced more discussion. Has anyone worked out an estimate of how fast chakra travels?

Indeed, if ET zombies have infinite chakra quantity and also rate, then you don't need to ET Madara. Just ET Gamakichi and you will still rape the enemy.

lolikr, as the saying goes, "it's not what you have, but how you use it." The manga has made it pretty clear ET summons are most problematic because of their unnatural recovery rates. This applies towards chakra molding (multi-stage, multi-part, multi-personnel etc. if possible) as much as a taijutsu (ET limb regeneration).

But at the same time all of OP's points still stand. The intended specimen still provides the framework for reanimation, and Kabuto tampering with Madara further suggests that this base potential (like how many chakra [units] it has) is still as important as ever. Just how far we can play around with the rules is up for anyone to guess.

Well this was obvious? That is why Madara had crep Susano's when he used 25 clones. His chakra was split in to many places...

I really don't think this is true.

For starters, the "body not being strong enough to use the technique" is false. Nagato, who had arguably the weakest body outside of Madara, had LOADS of chakra. And that had nothing to do with his Rinnegan, but was due to him have Uzumaki blood. Fact of the matter is, some people have loads of chakra, others don't. Skill is often what separates people from using techniques, not the physical capacity to do so.

Konohamaru can't use Sussano because he isn't an Uchiha and because he isn't skilled enough to do so. Konohamaru is actually a terrible example given the fact he can use high level chakra jutsu in the form of Shadow clones and rasengans and still has energy left over.

Now, saying the body has limits is a possibility, but Edo Tensei seems to destroy these limits in the sense that these bodies don't tire. If you don't tire, you can't run out of physical energy as an Edo. Undying spirit w/ unlimited physical energy gives you the capability to use any technique if you have the required skill and special abilities (kekkai genkai).

As for the bolded part, Muu couldn't use Jinton because his spirit split and thus something happened to his affinities, as they were split up between the two bodies. What happened is the exact opposite of you what you are stating if I am correct.

Obito has also slipped through the boulders before he awakened his MS. No surprise here at all, just Kishi doing a headstand while taking a shit, which is pretty much the development cycle in a nutshell of his recent work - IChallengeYou!

Bit off topic, but don't want to start another thread on this question: Can Madara be sealed? If he resisted EDO release, can he be sealed with sealing jutsu for example from Sai, or can he resist that too?

It wasn't so much as he resisted Edo Tensei more so than he was able to break it once he regained full control of his body in the small moment when he was taken from Kabuto's control. Yes, Madara should be able to be sealed technically speaking.

another weakness of edo tensei is that a person won't be able to do any new techniques or techniques that causes their natural abilities to grow. i'm thinking that's partly why madara didn't want to be a zombie; zero capacity for growth.

but the amount that Madara could grow, in the state he is in now, pales in comparison to the strength he gains by being invincible (in my opinion).

Re: The Infinite Chakra on Edo Tensei mod

from what I understand about Edo Tensei Chakra. It wasn't infinite but rather fast chakra restoration. It was like saying having an Edo Tensei Body makes you immortal but in reality it restores your body from being destroyed making the "immortal" word true. Feels like their getting chakra from another dimension or world since they came from there

Re: The Infinite Chakra on Edo Tensei mod

Well , look like everyone have infinite chakra in mighty alliance army , so Madara isn't problem ....

after all , it said Madara had extremely strong chakra in Uchiha and now he had Hashirama's cells and Rinnegan ...

that corpse ( Nagato ) has enough chakra to teach a lesson to konoha !!!

    ......

Kishi already break his own rules so don't except any logical expiation about this ....

The "infinite chakra" seems to come from the extreme regenerative ability the zombies possess. ET Zombies don't suffer fatigue and run out of chakra because of the jutsu's regenerative capability.

And it seems that they die....but then they come back fully regenerated .... remember when Tsunade punched through Madaras Susanoo and punched him in half his eyes went black . makes me think its not "immortality" in the sense of being unable to die...but its more like they can come back from being killed
