That's not true. You're underestimating humans ingenuity and imagination. The fact is, there are tons of things in this chapter to discuss and each thing could go on for pages and pages if there were enough people willing to think a bit about the story. But most of these people have either lost interest in Claymore or don't have the time. As for the discussion about what Cid has brought (BTW, the bomb idea wasn't mine), there were what, 5 people willing to speculate on this? Me, you, haegar, Fermat and... In the good old days there would be 50 people. I remember chapters in Animesuki that were so intently discussed that before I would write my post there would be 2 or 3 other which would have similar or the same thing in it. And every time I woke up there were walls of text to read, even during rather filler chapters like the fight with Agatha. The strength is in the numbers and if there were more users here willing to discuss they would notice things I/you/someone else hasn't noticed and vice versa. But with only 5 people still posting about the chapter it looks as if I was talking to myself.
Look at the motivation people have to discuss Claymore. When I asked the question
"Whose attack do you think hit first?" only two people responded and only after me repeating this question. In the good old days there would be tons of posts with some people on one side and some on the other and the discussion would go on for days. And not sure if you would agree but I have an impression that usually I'm the one trying to revive the thread or Claymore forum as a whole and trigger some discussion. The problem is, it's usually with poor or no success (like my
Observations thread - there are tons of things to discuss there but no one wants to go through older posts there or even respond to the newest - or
Design your technique thread).
Also, notice that 25 posts in this thread are mine which currently is over 11% of all (if we would exclude scanlation ones, it would still be more than 10%). That's a very high number. And I think you will agree that I'm not spamming (no one-liner posts, no repeating myself or anything like that). In fact, if the amount of on-topic text was measured it could possibly be an even higher number since there are many one-liner posts here. And how many people made the effort to present their elaborated opinion about the chapter?
Me (
Me 2),
Ryus (
Ryus 2),
Fermat (he has many more posts),
God Eye Galatea (she has many more posts).
Shiek927 (although most of his post wasn't on-topic he still wrote an extensive opinion about the chapter ;P) and some others who wrote a few lines more than an average user. On the other hand quite a few users were only quoting them while writing one-liners themselves. Most people are not into Claymore that much, otherwise they would make a bit of an effort in writing their posts and present their opinion more elaborated than "I (dis)liked the chapter". That way there would be a higher chance that discussions would thrive since there would always be parts you would disagree with. And let's be honest, the most interesting discussions occur when two people have completely different views. At least IMO. Everyone agreeing with each other is boring.
