I see episode 52 animation director being "Dr.Movie" as either

1. Madhouse is outsourcing to cut costs

or

2. Madhouse is bringing in the big guns.

My guess is:

51
The end of ch. 94, chapter 95-96, the first half of 97. The Requiem begins. Ends with Chrollo being the kapellmeister. Or maybe even Gon&Killua getting in touch with Kurapika.

52
The second half of 97, 98-99, the most of 100. Chrollo vs Zoldycks. The whole fight+the result. Probably ending with Chrollo taking off his bandage and ordering to stick to the plan.

The leftovers of 100, 101, 102-103 without the GR bits, the end of 104, the beginning of 105. Spiders are dead, Kurapica is meeting friends. Ending with him receiving Hisoka's message. No, it's not too much, altogether it's only about 52 pages, and the pages are really short in this part of YS. If it's still too much, they can move the Meteor city backstory (9 pg) to the next episode.

GR bits from ch. 102-103 (4 pg), most of 104 (8 pg), 105-106 (27 pg). Ends with GR deciding to stay in YS. Probably they'll somehow include the page from ch. 108 with the rest of predictions.

Then 55 is probably 107-110 with about 49 pages. Ends with protagonists finding GR.
56 is 111-113 (about 44 pg). Squalla's death and the epic showdown in the darkness. Ends with Chrollo being kidnapped.
57 is 114-116 (about 41 pg). Spiders are wondering wheither to accept Kurapika's proposal to exchange the hostages or not. Ends with Illumi being Hisoka.
58 is 117-119, maybe a little bit from 120 (Pakunoda's flashback). 46 pages. The end of September the Fourth. It's gonna be the most freaking epic episode.
59-62 will finish the YS. Like I said, it will probably end with Gon&Killua entering GI.

I think the YS arc (I mean, without September the Sixth+) will end by episode 58, maybe 59. I doubt it'll last longer. The pages are becoming shorter and shorter, and they already are rushing it. I mean, 3 chapters 19 pg each per episode?
Gosh, I'm really waiting for them to finish the arc. Watching September the Fourth in one go is going to be some awesomeness overdose. Can't wait

My guess is:

I'd like for the episode to end with the requiem. It would be better to move the call
to the next episode since Kurapika gets in the line of fire immediately after the call
and I think it would have greater impact if we didn't have to wait a week between
Kurapika on the phone...and then hanging up and then getting shot at but instead
have him talk on the phone at the beginning of 52, hang up and then get shot at.

I think perhaps 52 could end with Illumi having killed the Ten Dons.
I'd like to see people's reactions when Chrollo is said to be dead.
If we see Chrollo right after then it's just ok Chrollo isn't really dead
that was a cool fight. But if we don't see him then people will be like
"WTFBBQ!? CHROLLO DIED!?" And if the Ten Dons are also dead then
people will be speculating like crazy as to what happened. Of course
some of us already know. But still it would be a fun ending.

I don't want them taking out the Greed Island bits. But they probably will.
Problem is I don't they will put them back later. Oh well. As long as they don't
mess with Greed Island itself.

Why do viewers need to remember that Gon and Killua are trying to contact Kurapika if in the next episode they call him anyways. 52 would start a tad bit before with the ambulance
for Neon and the mafia goon being like "Try anything funny and you die." Since it's just
a page it could start the episode before the opening.

I rather they keep 52 short. Two chapters is plenty for one episode and it's going to
have the Chrollo v Zoldyck fight so it's not like it needs more chapters to be interesting.
I say they should keep it short and work more on the fight that week.

Put simply I don't want anything taken out.


And really I don't see the point of trying to cram as many chapters as they can in these episodes. This is one of the most anticipated moments in the series. Why risk it with
crammed episodes when they can take a relaxed route and make a greater profit
from having more episodes. They can cram stuff after 52 if they want since
that's gonna be the aftermath.

I know this is old but i wanna post it anyway: When shal used the needle on the mafia dude to imply that they had already infiltrated it, a lot of people were talking about how the old version messed it up and they didn't explain how they knew where uvo was...but actually they did...the guy who called Dalzollene was Nobunaga himself. They used a voice only which was more subtle...maybe too subtle but gotta give credit where credit is due. >.>

Hey. Finally decided to join this forum after reading through all 300+ pages of the HxH 2011 anime discussion threads (yes, I have no life). I actually happened upon the series by chance and watched the 1999 series before finding out that a remake existed. Then, I discovered this thread and became addicted to the deep debates you guys have

So, hoping I can became a part of those discussions some time soon.

Top 5 moments: (because my roommates are yelling too loud for me to think of 10)

5) Gon after the Hisoka confrontation in 4th Hunter Exam; mostly memorable for me because of the controversy surrounding it. 2011 Gon's burning excitement and silence after losing to Hisoka was such a huge contrast to his breakdown in the 1999 version. And I remember reading a youtube comment where someone said 1999 Gon annoyed the heck out of him while 2011 Gon was "tolerable", then went on to say that it's because Gon never does anything useful until the you-know-what arc (not that I agree with him). It's interesting since in terms of what they accomplish in the series, they're practically the same. I think this scene was one of the real major reasons why.

4) Hisoka vs. Gon in Heavens Arena. Only not at the top of the list since an exclusive fighting-only scene can only rank so far for me. And I remember it being said multiple times that the way Gon is just makes people want to help him. I really felt that here. Not like the millions of other animes out there where I want the main character or the supposed person we're to 'cheer for' to just die under a bus during a major fight.

3) Gotoh coin flip. Most people coming out of watching the old series would be all "OMG KURAPIKA!11!" but since I'm weird, I came out with the coin flip being one of my most memorable moments. And of course, Gon actually being shown to cut his eye was epic.

2) Killua wanting to sacrifice himself for Gon to escape in the recent ep. Didn't stand out to me in the old anime but did here. I think it's because Madhouse handled the tense transition from Killua's dark thoughts to the funny bickering so well.

1) Not just the kill but the black-white-red look on Kurapika's face when Uvo died. His expressions were done excellently and was a great display of Madhouse not trying too hard to "take over" the show like I felt Nippon did at their version of that scene...by making him go through a breakdown like they made Gon.

Hisoka just steals the show in anything. And he only got like 4 seconds in the whole episode.
