^ the actual one is way better imho, and Kishi can't really make a different design since the two Mangekyo patterns are usually one on top of the other, they don't merge per se.

Now if Kishi only remembered he exists in the manga. Shippuden has been a hard road for Neji. He went from being a celebrated prodigy on par with Sasuke in Part 1 to a minor background character in Shippuden who gets glomped by Zetsu clones. Reminds me of Tien in DBZ.

I had to think Kishimoto had something planned for the Byakugan a long time ago. But then the Hyuuga clan lost all importance to the story which took down the Byakugan compared to the other two. Just look who uses each technique.

Rinnegan - Madara, Nagato, Obito
Sharingan - Madara, Sasuke, Itachi, Obito, Danzou, Kakashi
Byakugan - Neji, Hinata, that Ao guy

You can see there is a huge difference. There is a reason the Byakugan hasn't been mentioned in ages nor has the bells and whistles the other two have now.

That would matter to me if I liked characters solely based on how popular they were.
I look at things like character design, personality, and their techniques. For me, Neji is still my favorite out of all of them.

You gotta remember, Kishimoto has to design a... design that's easy to draw over and over. Can't use over half of the designs you just showed.

Other than that, it's pretty obvious my favorite doujutsu is the Sharingan. Not because of what it does, but the kind of fighting style it's wielders use. No wasted movements, no erratic attacks. Speedblitzes, strategizing... all followed by a badass pose or two. It's awesome.

I expected a lot from the Byakugan and was hoping for Kishi to develop it further or at least make a bigger deal of its properties. For a long time it was the best instrument for observation at a solo and squad level.

But since the manga has a taken a turn for DBZ, I voted for Sharingan mostly because nobody else had exploited the Rinnegan like the S6P. I mean I interpreted the mechanics for Izanami on paper (in light of other ninjutsu) and it's still the most ridiculous jutsu I've seen in this manga short of Banbutsu Sōzō.

But still, kurenai has the very unique eyes, the red rinnegan is somehow the best.

Sharingan clearly. It lays out a plethora of possibilities for the user to device an effective attack pattern while carrying out an elaborate, through analysis of the opponent's attacks. No eye beats this.
