That brings up the question as to why Oda has never been involved with any video game character designs. His designs would do wonders for a game! Perhaps it's due to him being busy with One Piece though.
I doubt he has the time for that, but his design for the Dupon pen were nice.<3 Would like to know if he got royalties for those, is every version is limited?

His design is very nice. Looking at that illustration of his make me think that he'd be excellent as children's book writer/illustrator.
Beelzebub volume 20 release date moved from February → March
Naruto volume 64 release date moved from March → April
Kiruko-san volume 1 has been scheduled to be released in March
Awesome Assassination Classroom display at a bookstore(?)
He originally planned for One Piece to last five years, which would've been around Alabasta.
I'm guessing he dropped those plans well before Alabasta started though, since he only had about half the crew members he planned by that point.
Actually Jump had at least two series beginning outside that "April or October" thing that Kaiten said (I haven't searched earlier series): Beelzebub, airing from January 2011 and Rurouni Kenshin, which also started in January (of 1996).
Second, It's not true that late-night anime is better received that daylight anime: One Piece, Toriko, Detective Conan, Naruto, Pokémon. All these series had daytime slots, usually early in the morning, and those are the best viewed anime, always. Look at the most viewed anime from the last week:
Sazae-san: Sunday afternoon. Family/child audience.
Chibi Maruko-chan: Sunday afternoon. Family/child audience.
Detective Conan: Saturday afternoon. Male child audience.
One Piece: Sunday morning. Male child audience.
Toriko: Sunday morning. Male child audience.
One Piece: Sunday afternoon. Male child audience.
Smile Precure!: Sunday morning. Female child audience.
Hunter x Hunter: Sunday morning. Male child audience.
Late night usually means a boost in quality (not always though) but in any case it means more viewers, it's quite the opposite. The "mainstream" anime like those are the ones that got more viewers, so It's probably that if AC is still succesful in two years it take a slot on Sunday afternoons or even mornings. That would mean a really great success. Any other case means that yeah, it's fine, but it's not THE thing.
My guess is that AC will be animated by either Brains Base or Sunrise after the end of Gintama and receive it's spot and as for another anime which didn't start in April/October is Mago which started in July 2010 or July 2011 for season 2.
Late-night anime tend to better in sales though. I mean I don't even think One Piece sells that great when it comes to DVDs.
