I find it funny how the vast majority of the mangaka are talking about food related stuff this week. Could be orchestrated or just coincidence but it kinda fits the arrival of Shokugeki no Souma, so that's cool.
Again I thought I could share some comments that struck me as interesting or were just hilarious (looking at you, Sorachi!):
- Looks like Asou (Saiki Kusuo) and Hirakata (Kiruko-san) are buddies. Apparently Asou must have directed some nice words towards Hirakata in last week's TOC comment. The latter now thanks Asou in this week's comment and invites him to go grab some Ramen together.
- HUNGRY JOKER's Tabata Yuuki mentions he's actually friends with the author of Shokugeki no Souma, Tsukuda Yuuto. He's very happy that both of them are getting serialized at the same time.
- Sorachi cracked me up once again: He proudly declares how he can still walk around in a T-shirt, even now (in winter). It's one of the upsides of becoming fat.
- And Kondou-sensei from Retsu!!! Date-senpai always makes me wonder if he's really too happy about working for Shueisha, as I usually see him talking about stuff from Kodansha. This time he says how interesting Osana guntai (serialized in Monthly Afternoon) is. The author, Matsumoto Yuusuke, is a buddy of his.
I was wrong, I was expecting HXH resuming serialization for the movie -.-.. Well 63 pages of Kurapika's story is very good IMO, we haven't heard of him in like what, 15 volumes or so? And in real life time like 10 years or so lol.
Well since it is the last issue of the year, I will put an update of my TOC diagram. As you can see, Naruto is not just a question of one chapter. Bleach starts to rise a little and Haikyu seems to have found its place rather in the middle while Nisekoi starts to shine again.
Kurapika was shown in one of the last few chapters before the series went on hiatus. He was wearing a suit and sitting in a room full of eyeballs, remember?
Anyhow, there's still a good chance the series will resume. Remember, Jump has never released every chapter up to the last one that's been in the magazine in volume form without immediately resuming the series. At least not with HXH, they always waited for the resumption to happen before releasing the last 10 chapters in tankoubon form. Even when it went on hiatus for 3 years or whatever it was in a row.

*claps* yay Nisekoi. Also yay HxH double-shot! Even if that's all we get that'll satisfy me for another chunk of time.
The ToC feels different, I kind of realize this now since many series ended in the last year or so, Bakuman and Reborn! stand out. It somehow feels as if the ToC is shorter, but I guess more and more new series will be pumped in. The rising star AC will continue to do a good job. One Piece, Toriko and maybe Naruto will be getting top spots mostly. Bleach will follow shortly maybe even be somewhere in the middle with regular stuff there like Kochikame.
I have no idea which long running series will end soon though. Naruto, maybe? But that is a hard thing to say, though it seems the most likely. I just feel the ToC will keep on changing.
I also share that feeling even though the TOC is just short by Toriko it does feel shorter especially since there are now 3 series which are unranked, I bet it would feel more normal once Soma ranks and also BTW love the cover and even though I don't read this kind of genre I'm a little bit curious because of the character designs.
The author is well know for is hentai manga. He sure can draw girls well.
That and being a cooking manga, I'm also interested in trying it.

Oh yea! It's tosh! Too bad I was only able to find chinese scans of the one shot
Man, I almost died on the inside when I saw "Hunter x Hunter" and "end" on the same line. I hope HH is back for real but either way, like everyone else I'll be more than pleased with the oneshots.
I just read Hungry Joker and I like it pretty well. Hope it does good. Glad Nisekoi is back up at the top, and still happy about Assassination Classroom and Haikyu!!'s continued success. And I think I'm quite comfortable with that bottom five.
Am I the only one kinda super bummed out that scans turned up on tuesday? Like... that's for the issue out on the following monday. That's just... Man. Like, piracy has a point where it just gets kind of ridiculous. I dunno, I know it's ironic as a consumer of it but c'mon now, almost a full week early just hurts my brain
When raws show up on Tuesday it's when Jump comes out on Saturday in Japan, generally.
