K is one of the anime featured at an anime festival I attended recently. The promotion team seems to work hard on it. It is said to be one of the most anticipated series due to the choice of seiyuu as you can see above. Even I realize quite many of the names. Enough to make our eyes jumping already. Right? LOL~
Soon I'll check it out. <3 Any of you has seen it? :3
OMG this is an anime with one of the best supernatural effects I have seen so far
with one word I love it, heck I even hardly anticipated it back in the past, when there was just a trailer out !!!
glad to see it did not crush my expectations so far, I still like it...
It doesn't fail my expectation for the first eps!! I was just awed by everything... The graphic, the characters, and above all, the seiyuu (all stars seiyuu can't be missed)!
Every time they talk, I was just like "gyaaaa~~~" especially when Yatogami Kuroh shows up. I like his character design the best (he reminds me of Hakuouki's Hijikata), not to mention he carries around katana, and combine that with OnoD... I cringed when I heard Isana though... I always see and hear him as Italy. o_O My friend actually had this "thought" about Kuroh and Isana when the former hugged the latter during the fight.
All the other characters are also awesome, all of them seem to be interesting with strong personalities. I want to know more about
sephiroththe silver long-haired guy though...
I believe for the rest of the show, I won't be able to stop myself from squealing in happiness.
I need to say it: thanks yukihime because it was you who posted the extended PV and I discovered this series in advance.
I agree with everything you say in your post!!! The animation is excellent, all the special effects are out of this world and... the cast is impressive: Daisuke Ono, Tamazuki Sugita, Jun Fukuyuma... I'm in heaven while watching it (and I haven't watched it completely yet T.T. I'm still looking for a good spanish fansub with good quality and not excesively heavy...).
Hahahha: Hijitaka = Kuroh!! Yes!!! Another person that thinks the same as me. That was the very first thing I thought when I saw him for the first time.
Waiting to see it complety and... I think I won't have enough patience for the next!
yuki. Stop being obsessed over Italy every time there is Namikawa-san!
... *goes to watch the anime*
Damn you Italyyyyyyyy~
It's getting worse, uh-oh. I really can't get out of the Italy image. Especially since Isana's character is more or less similar to the carefree Italy. As if Isana is designed to match Namikawa-san's voice, LOL~
Aside from that, an awesome opening. The artwork is not new to anime world, but the effect makes them different, I think. All those aura, oh gosh, so yummy. Super cool. And the voices! Though I'm not as clever as my friend yuki here in naming the voice one by one, I do notice some of them. So awesome. <3
Can't wait for the next episode already. Dear fansub group, we're waiting!!!~
I don't really get all your hype. Sure the animation was nice, sure they have a great voice cast. Besides that pretty much nothing happened though, we practically don't know anything about the story or it's characters so there's still a lot of room for failure.
Don't misunderstand, it's not like it was bad but it's way too early to judge it as something great. We all witnessed Guilty Crown and how that ended. I really hope my fear won't come true though.
Very confusing but ultimately enjoyable. The camera angles are spectacular and so are the voice actors. Hopefully episode 2 explains what the hell is actually going on
You watch Hakuouki too? Haha, I still envy them for having such sleek long black hair... How can they have such kind of hair though they are males... :P

...as you've found out. The character and voice is way too similar to Italy.

Even though it has the possibility to become like GC (though I hope it won't), at the least I'll be happy with the cast.
the cast (in the anime) feels a bit too bishounen like too but I guess it's for attracting the ladies
what matters the most to me is the story, if the story fails there's nothing that can rescue the series. Neither animation nor voice actors. First episode left me with a "meh" so my hopes aren't as high as they were in the beginning but it can still go both directions so will try to not judge it too early.
Yeah I agree with Naruto-niichan, sure the animation was superb (though I didn't really like all the color filters, especially blue -_-) but nothing really happened. Only the last couple minutes for me were good, like the video shown to the entire town. Idk, it just felt bland to me, and it feels like we were just shown how good the characters look instead of who they are.
Well, the judgement is personal. I wouldn't bother too much about it. For me the first episode is a nice opening; it ended leaving me with question: how could this carefree Shiro be the one so devilish in the video? That alone was enough to make me want to check the next episode. The rest of the episode was a nice opening, in my opinion. I think the studio wanted to show us what we should expect in upcoming episodes.
I understand your worry, nii-kun. In fact I was slightly worried about this ended up like Guilty Crown. However I ain't gonna ruin my experience with K this early with that; each series deserve proper expectation in the beginning, ohohoho~
(Of course, if it ends up like GC, I will be hugely disappointed. I think the studio/producer/director can think wiser. Or so I hope. ^^; )
Plot-wise...confusing. Voice-wise...I'M TOTALLY LOVING THIS!! XD
Thought when I first saw the preview: I don't know what it's about, but guess I'll watch it anyway...for the voices.
Thought after I watch the first episode: I don't get anything they're doing at all, ANYTHING...but will continue watching anyway...for the voices.
Conclusion: Yes, voice is enough for me to keep up with this even though I don't understand ANYTHING in it. How can I ward my eyes and ears away from all these familiar names? Top-notched cast is LUV! My love for seiyuus is getting really scary~ X3
If only they have Ishida-san in it...well, he's the sole purpose why Psycho-Pass is in my list anyway. I'm satisfied enough with him being in at least one anime I want to watch this season, but would be much happier if he'll appear here as well *nodge*.
I agree with phio-chan... If we get paranoid every time a promising anime is aired, it won't be fair. Every time I become worried over this, I try to remember good anime (in my case, it's Fate/Zero) so that I'll be reminded that not every promising anime will turn out bad. And I think that the producers of anime should have learned something from the failure of GC, so I do hope that they will make something better. K seems to be a project they put a lot of effort into; considering all the hush-hush about the plot, I think they want to give a surprise. Let's hope it will good. Oh, and even if an anime turns out to be bad in the end, there will always be something good from it. GC might have bad plot and characters, but I cannot say I'm not thankful for the music it brought. That is why I said, at the least, seiyuu of K will be something memorable, no matter what will happen in the end. This is only my opinion though... if you're someone who puts a stress on the plot, then maybe you won't agree with me, but that's fine.
...and Ju-da-su, no one can say it better than you are. Hail the cast!
Animation was one of the best I've ever seen. Let's see if the story can match my desires. I don't want another Guilty Crown to steal my time, as I already have 20 shows to watch this season... =___=
I don't know where the plot is going but the animation is really superb, so i'll keep watching that one. It look like a mix of tokyo Tribe 2 and Durarara
