Well that was a great episode even though it feels different than the first 12 episodes regarding the fact that Hakaze is with them now.
Hakaze really is a cute girl now. :3
I wonder what'll happen next? For now there aren't any "enemies" who could attack.
Although fighting trees will still remain the most weird thing I ever watched...
I skipped half of episode 13, too much flashback. Though I understand that the producer thought that we need some refreshment about the plot... But still the whole switching back and forth from young Mahiro-Yoshino to big Mahiro-Yoshino was a bit confusing.
I'm more curious to see why Samon wanted Mahiro to hunt Yoshino down. From the preview we see Hakaze went with Yoshino... Still can't get along with the clan good, eh? XD
well i suppose right now that new guy is indeed a mage of exodus, but then I kinda feel uneasy since all the guys were having that great theory about yoshino being the mage of exodus.Maybe 2 years ago yoshino transfered his poweres to that new guy? I mean honestly i cant just see this yoshino hype just dissapearing. I liked the episode actually. SO mage of exodus specialise more on offense and the genesis mage on defense. Loved the princess's fight aswell
This boy who has the power of Exodus -- I forget his name -- seems to notice when he has strange power. If that is the case, wouldn't Yoshino also feel the same thing? He probably did, but we didn't see it, or not at all. Samon's explanation is interesting about Yoshino being the mage of Exodus, but somehow I don't feel like it. Yoshino was driven/inspired by Aika (and Mahiro, a bit) in the previous 12 episodes and I think they're like third party between Genesis and Exodus Tree.
I also like the battle between Hakaze and that boy. The arm disappearing surprised me as well.
I'm not convinced this little guy is the mage of exodus.
If the tree of Genesis favors Hakaze and Yoshino was the mage of exodus, maybe with it's power of logic he gave Yoshinos powers somebody else?
The mistery with Aika is still around. At the moment I can't even guess what exactly killed her.

Sometimes I think Zetsuen is made way too complicated.
Maybe this weak guy is just a member of 'Exodus Clan' or something like that? Just like Kusaribe clan whose members can exploit the power of Genesis Tree. That's why this boy's power was awaken when the tree returned to life too, but he's just plain member, unable to exert the power like a mage of Exodus should've able to do.
I still can't believe Yoshino is the mage of Exodus although he's the biggest possibility now, after what Junichirou said too about Hakaze's feelings.
Why is the story NOT going like in the manga anymore ???
There have been made some dramatical changes (based on manga), starting in this very episode !!!
Do they just want to hurry up and make some kind of strange finish now, why ???
I just hope this episode was a filler, and that we will be back on to the "right track"(back to how storyline is progressing in manga), as soon as the next episode comes out...
It just stroke me receantly, so I will qoute myself from OreShura anime discussion:
So what do you think Aika being a princess of "tree of Zetsuen"(manga) or "tree of Exodus"(anime) ???
I became suspicious when I remembered the title "Zetsuen no Tempest" (Zetsuen is somehow differently translated in anime into the name Exodus, I don't know why), along with the name from one of the 2 books Aika was always quoting, which title is "The Tempest". Do you see the same kind of connection here, why I feel like something is foreshadowed there.

First of all I do think something is forshadowed regarding Hamlet and The Tempest.
I just think they want to keep the moe Hakaze for the audience and there will be a confession next week or the week after that.
The whole Aika thing is strange and not even slightly explained. Why are they showing her again and again? What is her role in this play?
Hamlet and The Tempest. Two tales about revenge with opposite endings. Zetsuen no Tempest is also a story of revenge. How will it ends? Mahiro seems to be the Hamlet, while Yoshino once tried to make realization of The Tempest because he remembered his conversation with Aika. Who's gonna win?
Hakaze is funny, lol. Aika is Aika, so annoying for tempting innocent Yoshino like that, lol. I've stopped thinking about what possible role she has in this story; no clues so far (I think) so I'll just wait.
Did I miss something about the attack to Kusaribe village? Why would someone wants to dig out the fact that it's a village of magicians?
Told ya there would be a confession this time.
After 17 episodes the cat is finally out of the bag... I couldn't help but facepalm at all the idea Samon proposed though...
It looks like I'm going to hate next weeks episode because I think the reason why not-so-moe-anymore-Hakaze and Yoshino are going to part their ways will be 99% cliche...
I'm still rooting for them although Aika makes it complicated to do so...
At the end my belief is, both Mahiro and Yoshino will argue who is better suited for Aika, but realize their fight is pointless, and that both of them should rather redirect their anger on the one who killed Aika - a person both of them loved !!!
(my conclusion: women are complicated...)
Aika is a devil in your eyes for tempting Yoshino, but in my eyes Yoshino is a devil coz he instead of showing reaction like other normal human being, starts thinking "what that was all about" (he is "so dense", like Hakaze said).
Both Yoshino and Aika fit for each other perfectly in it's own way, be jelaus if you want, I know I am...
I'm so happy to see the story is "back on track" again (Hakaze has confessed her feelings)...
To me it seems like ep 16 was a "filler episode", why I didn't read anywhere anything like that happening (or I forgot every last bit of it).
(although here I'm at the same time "kind of sad", coz I know Aika is dead)
Just receantly I realized my ultimate pairing in this series is "Aika x Yoshino" !!!
Oho, interesting episode 18.
Well, I'm surprised but glad to see those scenes with Yoshino. At least he indeed feels something; when Hakaze mentioned it like that it's kinda scary that Yoshino seems to brush away his feelings so hard. I guess he tried to run away from the pain, even though what he said were all true (about crying and avenging Aika wouldn't bring her back). While Mahiro is getting more and more depressed. Your fault for being dense, lol.
I'm also happy to see Hakaze taking a step forward by provoking Hanemura and later on, the Tree of Genesis. About time, 6 episodes more, after all. The theory about that alchemy found at the tree's site is interesting and possible. But that would make Tree of Exodus another 'alien tree', no? They would have to destroy both for lives to go on properly again, I guess.
Kinda saw this development coming. Yet it was badass how Aika suddenly transformed a toothpick into a freaking burning sword!
Looking at the preview Hakaze and Aika will fight each other... Still I have no idea what killed her?
I can't imagine Hakaze will do it. Something is still hidden in the dark.
But still I really wanna watch the next episode now. I'm thrilled! *.*

I also saw that coming. Kinda thought that both princess will be female. But even though i knew this was going to happen I was still shocked. I mean cmon where did that 5 meter fire sword came from haha. So I guess Aika split her power between yosino and the other guy huh.Omg this will be interesting
