As for Furuichi and his love life...I'm actually really not sure what Tamura is planning on doing with it. Furuichi/Nene would be great, because I totally see the Miroku/Sango side of that. But at the same time I think it may be a bit anti-climactic. There's no conflict or climax for them getting together, and besides going to school there's no reason for them to want to hang out with each other. Unless Tamura starts building it up from now (look how long it took to make Hilda-Oga-Aoi credible, and even that requires some squinting considering Oga's brain density), it might appear too random. I'm not saying they can't get together, just that I think they deserve a proper romance.
Though I suppose there is a second possibility that would use all the same elements...
If there was a demon world magic type thing that resulted in the Beel and the rest rapidly growing up. Futaba having grown up in the demon world would be unimaginably awesome.
I think if some delightfully awkward romantic tension built up there it would keep building as Nene is never far from Aoi who never far from Oga who is never far Furuichi. So the opportunity could be there. And if the second option, which I mentioned above, came to fruition it could age Lamia and create a true love triangle there.

I mean, at least pair Furuichi up with Alain's daughter or something. Who, come to think of it, could be another part of that love triangle Teeba and I were dreaming up.(Well... mostly me)
Alain's daughter is hot, but will he let her get close to Furuichi? D:
I think Alaindelon's love for Furuichi has been grossly misinterpreted, thanks to the anime. If you think about it we've been seeing him less and less. People talk about him being there, and being in love with Furuichi, but his actual presence in the manga has greatly decreased.
I actually liked Alaindelon's crush not because it was funny, but because it was really innocent in a way. Alaindelon copies Hilda to get into Furuichi's house, but he doesn't understand what he's saying. And at first he admires Furuichi, but he grows to like him more than that, and feels like they have a close bond (hence his wish that Lamia doesn't infringe on it). And then most recently, when Alaindelon gave Furuichi extra underwear during the Okinawa trip, he's trying to do what he thinks is appropriate to support him, but not encroach his private space. I dunno how else to describe it, but I think Tamura handled it way more delicately than the anime did. The anime just made him a stereotypical gay predator.
Oh, I think your sig remidns me of that character from Kimi ni Todoke, Joey? The way Oga's face looks like.
Would love to see more Nene, though. So Furuichi would be in a love square? Him and Nene, Him and Lamia/Alain's daughter, and him and Alain.
Agiel looks more interested in Aoi, while Yolda likes En more. :|
I can actually see Hilda with Beel when he's older...
And it's important that I underscore that though I enjoy thinking about all the possible pairing in my Furuichi-love-tetrohedra. All of them together are just a hood ornament on the great ship Furuichi/Nene.
Twice as unsinkable as the Titanic!
That will not to happen because I refuse to accept the existence of a reality where it does.

Why? D: Do you hate Furuichi that much?
Why? The way Hilda looks at Beel... feels more than just mother-son kinda thing.
As for Hilda-Beel, I have heard this from tons of other people as well. I think it makes sense considering that its the royal family we're talking about, and royal families always have shady family relations. But considering the angle Tamura has framed Hilda's character development in, I think her feelings are just maternal.
So Jammin, outside of FuruNene, what else do you see stored for Furuichi?

changed the rules of the Red Tails. I expect more of that. But at the same time I think things will continue to go horribly wrong for him because that's just such a great source of humor.
I sincerely do think that Nene is probably going to worked in as a love interest but probably in a "She likes him, but is so proud that she goes to great lengths to hide it" kind of way.
What are your thoughts on his future?
