Okay, even though nothing much happened, I'm quite satisfied with this chapter. I think the flashback between Mocha and Chopper is good, and it proves that CC is (probably) more evil than we could ever imagine previously. I hope that after a one-week break we would proceed immediately to Luffy v. CC, though.

HE was KILLING HIS OWN MEN, how much more do you need to know he's pure evil? he's been trying to kill everyone on the island(including vergo his "comrade") since smiley became a gas. You sound as if you were like, "Oh not this time CC, well i'm sure you didn't mean to kill {insert any persons name}, you'll do better next time"-i don't mean to offend, but seriously, you'd have to be looking away for chapters at a time to write a sentence like that.

and i wonder why people say this chapter is boring, i enjoyed it. Zoro funny moment with Tashigi, Mocha dying on Chopper despite his promise to save her and Luffy walking like a boss the flashback was nice too and this chapter is what define One piece: a little bit of drama, mixed with some comedy and a fine touch of badasstitude

I didn't feel this chapter so i suck right? Nah fuck these kids man! I was sympathising for a while, but I'm spent and yes Chopper it IS your fault! You shoulda played a game of keep-away with that bag but you got lazy! Now a kid is OD'ing (no Travolta or Eric Stoltz in sight) and taking up pages!


I ain't gonna watch the movie (circumstances), so i suck right? Nah fuck that, take your break Oda but just know you broke my heart with this poor chapter. And stop making movies that just make people argue about canon, get your mangaka on.

Tashigi thanks for being cute and geeking out on swords and i'm sorry i posted too late to make a 'sword' double entendre.

Chopper showed some real emotion.

The remaining children is an issue of whether or not they can return to normal. f**king CC.

And Luffy is on his way with Momo (Shenron's twin brother).

"ahem", after this week break is over, I'd better see something regarding the battle between Vergo VS. Smoker and Law. At least towards the end of the chapter, Oda.

I knew that he's killing his own man etc, but to be honest these kids matters are the most unforgivable for me personally. Perhaps I've seen too often in One Piece that a Boss killing his own men, CC case is not first case, for example we see Doflamingo , killing his own henchman, but making group of kids addicted to medicine and fail to grow up are the most repulsive crime commitred by CC for me.

My whole thinking is that, yes it is sad what is going on with the kids, but this stinks of Oda including all this filler and making Mocha "the flavor of the week"(no pun intended) just so that chopper has a reason to save her/show how twisted the WG is to allow such things and how badly they want to be able to make Giants. Of course we've all naturally, i'm assuming, come to the conclusion that CC is evil, it just pisses me off that oda keeps adding more and more to it. ~a cake is a cake no matter how many layers it has~CC is evil, oda doesn't have to continuously up the anti, we get it.

Not to mention, and maybe this is why i'm so...unsatisfied...with this chapter, is that there are SEVERAL key events going on currently on PH and we get a single page of Luffy coming out of the dust box? really? i wait a week to get this stinking pile of manga, and the only thing i get to look forward to is next weeks issue.....o yea forgot, we have to wait another 2 weeks.

Damn, another break? That sucks.
About the chapter, I found it pretty emotional.
I know that the FB slowed down the pace, but it also showed us the feelings of Mocha and somehow those of the other Kids.
The little girl sure showed a great courage.
LOL at Luffy wearing Momo anyway. XD

About the break, here are the number Oda took per year since 2005
3, 4, 4, 4, 7 (SW), 8 (TS), 5, 6
sw=strong world, ts=time skip. So the movie has barely anything to do with it. Oda is just taking around 6 breaks per year now like all successful veteran authors do.

Now it's true that there is not much to discuss about this chapter during 2 weeks and we won't have an endless haki debate but that's opportunity to post in others threads :-)

Now I wonder how Chopper will evolve from this scenario. I don't think Moka will die but he is extremely affected by his unability to stop the kid before it is to late. Will that affect the future plot more than give this chapter a bit of drama ? I wonder what will be relation between him and kidnapped CC.

Very nice chapter, in my opinion.

It's true I was hoping to see some fighting of course, but this week's chapter was pretty good. I really liked how Chopper acted, namely that part in which he kneels to Mocha.

in this whole chapter i liked zoro-tashigi banter and sanji-G5 entrance. the rest seemed too cheesy for me. i find mocha self sacrifice (not that i believe she will die) and chopper self disgust useless and superficial. the fb was so-so. as a whole i think oda is trying to overdramatize things. he really needs to put his foot on the gas nowadays. i am starting to feel played the longer this arc drags on.

I liked this chapter a lot...

The Mocha moments were great, and I particularly liked how those kids dreamed about going to the sea...it just shows you that Luffy's right when he says that the Pirate King has the most freedom...the ocean in this manga represents that really well and these kids just backed it up...

I also appreciate how Oda changed the battle dynamics of his manga and continues to stick with it...no more 1 v 1 fights with over the top dramatic panels for each crew member, but each member is placed in a different situation and tries to do his best...Nami and Robin as support for Chopper was well executed I think...

What I liked the best though was Sanji's entrance...there's a certain "bro" feeling that Sanji and the soldiers are showing, which is funny...but I liked the teamwork...shows me that the central idea of this arc is to save the kids, and every other plot detail is either to just create the circumstances for this, or to be used later on in the plot...

Really good chapter and good chapter streak by Oda, too bad there's a break though

So i didnt read the Spoiler except for the next week break part.
But now after i read the chapter it doesnt feel so bad after all.

Well there was not much action in this chapter, but it feels like it made huge progress in the storyline.
First, Zoro and Tashgi heading forwards to the crowd together. Then Sanji and the G5 Gang arrived the Kids Group, now Chopper is there to cure them from the addictin and last but not least Luffy is out of the Trashbin and he seems to be very pissed.

And yet the Luffy panels alone were very epic in my opinioin.
The poor Guards didnt even try to attack him.

Next time we see Luffy and Ceasa together he will accomplish his goal without any more distraction.
But befor Luffy reaches Ceasar there is a huge chane that we will see the progress in the Vergo vs Smoker fight next.

Cant wait to see what happened to them in the meantime.

While I did like Mocha/Chopper interaction, I just hated the fact that Oda is taking a break and we got nothing to discuss, hence why I voted Awful/Boring

Lol @ Zoro carrying Tashigi xD Sanji finally reached the children and Nami's group, now the kids won't be a problem. But I'm really loving the fact that he's just ordering the marines around like nothing xD That's why I love OP so much hehehe

Luffy is pissed. Really pissed. I wonder what Monosuke said to him while they were trying to escape. Can't wait to learn about it.

Decent chapter, have to say it presented emotions really well and I felt involved for the first time with children subplot. Wouldn't want Mocha to die.

Zoro and Tashigi are cool, it would be really fun to see Zoro trip and they fall down one over another and have a "moment" Erza and Jerard style:P
