I think it would be silly for the panel emphasis to be on Tohno's badge being on the court and Bunta not get it. That would just be bad and misleading writing.

Tohno's badge is obviously going to someone else at the moment but I don't see how either Marui or Kite can possibly defend their badge when Tohno recovers.
Tohno was going all-out almost as Kimijima notes that Tohno was definetely past 60% like they had planned.
Kimijima didn't even hype up his partners' techniques during the match.
Kimijima and Tohno were both badass. But Tohno ended the match struggling across the camp.
And as they are Doubles Pairs, I don't see Kimijima falling for the Execution Methods. He would know them inside out.
And yeah Tohno > Kite.
But it depends though, if Tohno intends to forfeit a point in every match by launching his racket into his opponents eye in every match.
Since I don't see how Tohno could break Wonder Castle without lobbing in Singles.
With Wonder Castle, Marui can Counterpunch most likely better than Jackal. Marui is now a really strong Singles player theoritically. He needs to rise on our Singles Tier.
I believe Wonder Castle shuts down the majority of standard Tennis Shots.
Remember he was stopping Kimijima AND Tohno at the same time with Wonder Castle. It should pose more of a threat in Singles.
Would Marui fall for Hakugei?
Marui became Jackal. Jackal is now unnecessary.
Marui would need Shukuchihou to be viable in Singles imo. He's pretty literally all front court and isn't fast enough to catch a lob. Given his small stature, that's a major weakness for singles. Any player with enough technique can just lob over him and he wouldn't be fast enough to get the ball.
Marui and Kite are only good together. They cover perfectly for each other; without the other, they really haven't improved too much.
Players below the tier on Kite will struggle with constant Ohabu's. It's not like its a weak shot at all. It's still a great shot. It just shouldn't be effective against the higher opponents.
Also, its not like Kite is nothing but special shots. his Shukuchiho is a great edge in matches.
Fair enough, Tohno > Marui by a long shot.
Tohno and Kimijima like Ochi are Top Tier even in Singles then.
Now that I look at it, if Atobe/Niou are only No.9 and 10, it doesn't look too good for the MSers.
I predict Sanada, Ryoma to advance past whichever Top6 opponent.
Possible with Akutsu, hopeful for Fuji.
Although he has the ability to take outN o.s 5 and 6 as long as he is paired with somebody from his tier.
So akutsu versus number 6 singles in the next match? Or some sort of doubles combo??
Probably next match is S2, as like the matches before, we got D3, then S3, now D2, then S2, with Tanegashima vs Sanada, and finally a win in singles for MS and a comeback.
Next one probably will be Akutsu/?????' vs Oni/Oomagari, I firmly believe Oni and Omagari will lose and then Byodouin vs Tokugawa with Byodouin winning and Echizen playing versus Ryoga.
