Having a blast with Gintama again. You should give it a try and not go too seriously into it. By that I mean don't think too much about "watching a lot". If you're looking for a casual show there's not many that can compare to Gintama. Well, no anime that I've seen at least. I watch like 2-3 episodes each day and it's perfect. I laugh my ass off quite often. It's quite relaxing to not feel like "I need to get up to date and watch all 24 episodes ASAP" like I usually feel with the shorter series with 12-24 episode arcs/stories.

Guess that's thanks to me huh? I will give it another try but not now, I'm just too busy at the moment and I have too much to watch anyway.

It's a combination of two characters in Gintama. Gintoki (main char) and Hijikata. There might be an episode where he poses as Hijikata later on, it would be completely within Gintama's story style, lol.

Gintama can't be as great as ST, I won't believe it

I actually know him too, though not that much. I think I told you that I watched 6 or so episodes of Gintama so I know a bit about some of the characters. No one seemed that great but I guess that's too early to judge at this point.

The characters are simply cooler in Gintama. They suit my style!

It's no secret that characters grow on you in series. The Shinsengumi (his police group) get a lot of screen time so he's exposed to funny situations all the time. The by far most hilarious though is Katsura (Gaara's seiyuu). He cracks me up every time with his serious face, Gaara voice and funny lines.
