That makes it a very gigantic leap in power, Ichigo-esque, I'd say. It's only my personal preference that I don't like people outdoing the much more experienced fellows like it's nothing instantly.
Let's be realistic here. Juha Bach now has Zanka no Tachi. It will take more than just Unohana, Ukitake, Shunshui, Zaraki, the current Gotei 13 to deal with him.
Unless Zaraki's bankai is the perfect counter against Zanka no Tachi.....

Even without using a technique, unleashing Zanka no Tachi is enough to give the whole of Gotei 13 problems. Then add Juha Bach's own power to the mix.
You also need to remember that 4 of the captains do not have their bankais anymore.

That's quite an healthy discussion about Bach's power while having Zanka no Tachi, but I am not sure, that a stolen Bankai can survive the death of it's former owner.
Beside from that, did Kubo mention that Zanka no Tachi is the strongest Bankai in existence? I remember the Zanpaktou was stated the strongest fire based Zanpaktou und Yamamoto sure is the strongest Shinigami. Or was. His power, however, isn't only based on his Zanpaktou as one could see in his fight against Aizen and Wonderweiss. My point is, that especially Kyouraku's Bankai might be enormous powerful. Everytime we saw him in fight in the manga yet he was clearly struggling. Kubo's storytelling made it clear that he has to be powerful, and yes, he defeated the Primera Espada - but that fight brought him on the edge of defeat several times. If his bankai has the same character as his shikai, his power might be near endless - I think of it as a Bankai that creates it's own world with special rules that only Kyouraku understands. A power like Shinji's, who switches directions, or Tousen's, who engulfes everything into darkness. The same goes for Ukitake. His ability reflecting techniques might be amplified several times in Bankai.
Unohana, however, will have the total opposite of her Shikai as Bankai. Pure Destruction.
And Kenpachi with Bankai? Not gonna happen. It would be too much fanservice. And it would possibly render Ichigo useless .
In other words, each stenritter can steal as much bankais as they can with the medallion.

Please continue the discussion in the power levels thread, by the way.
Zaraki's previous accomplishments / lack of accomplishments has got little to do with the current flow of plot.
So I guess Renji's training during the timeskip, and the one that will probably come soon, is how he's going to become a captain. I don't quite see anyone else as qualified as him to replace Kyoraku.
And it's troubling to think of Kyoraku as a CC, he lacks the powerlevel for it. Is Unohana really not the better choice ? Sure Kyoraku has the mind for it, but he's gonna need an upgrade. Isn't a CC supposed to be able to stop every captain he commands? Then again, we haven't seen his Bankai.
I just wonder if he could stop a fully upgraded Kenpachi on his own, or if he'd have to call in Unohana
