^ Lots of nice anime mentions already - I'm going to nominate Ginga e Kickoff .
One of the most refreshing and more leaning to realistic principles overall thus far in terms of game animes.

Slam Dunk won already i believe. As for Fighting Spirit.... lol idk. Maybe cause it hasn't aired in a while.
Also, i'll ask again. Why are so many shows in the poll? I thought only 5 nominations would make it.

I was pleasantly surprised to see One Outs. Thx

Slam Dank/Not nominated: I love this anime. Just too funny.

Watched all the episodes: One Outs, Eyeshield 21, Kuroko no Basket, Prince of Tennis (old and new), Area no Kishi, and Chihayafuru. I watched a few episodes from Major and Cross Game. I might have watched Captain Tsubasa. I think I own a few Japanese comics somewhere. Big Windup - I have never watched it, but I may try a couple of episodes before I cast a vote.

    (1) One Outs may not be too popular, but it is my absolute favorite of all time. A big surprise is waiting in manga, but the anime ends right before that happens. If you enjoy mind games, you may enjoy this anime.

    (2) Hiruma (quarterback, Eyeshield 21) is not as serious as Tokuchi (pitcher, One Outs), but he reminded me of Tokuch a bit. I must say that there are slow episodes, but Hiruma is so hilarious that I could watch all without a problem. Eyeshield 21 is my 2nd favorite, but it is very close to my 1st.

    (3) My 3rd is probably Kuroko. There are still ongoing Kuroko related threats in Japan, but I am glad to hear that they decided to make the 2nd season. I can't wait.

Luv Prince of Tennis and Chihayafuru as well. Most of the Prince of Tennis characters don't look like middle-high schoolers, but that's ok. Chihayafuru somehow makes me want to see Hikaru no Go again. Area no Kishi was just ok. was good. I liked funny Araki character and Coach Iwaki's voice (same as Urahara in BLEACH).

I will vote after watching Big Windup.
