I still think both are alive. We have seen other characters getting pierced in the heart, and others surviving explosions.

About Doflamingo... I don't think he is going to be defeated now. The Strawhats won't stand a chance against him currently, since they are all worn out from running nonstop.

What I really can't understand is why so many people believe Luffy won't lose now because he has lost so much two years ago. I think Luffy will still lose a lot of fights against the big shots, and even though he has certainly gotten stronger in these two years, he is not on a whole different league as them. A Shishibukai is still a Shishibukai, a hard enemy.

Do Flamingo has a crazy abilities so its difficult for me to predict what could outcome of a confrontation with. Since we have seen him slicing Oz, he is even more frightening. Robin and Law can probably escape him. But our monster trio may have a hard time.

Remember how OP started and Luffy one by one rose to fame by dismantling all enemies that stood in front of him... (Arlong, Crocodile, Eneru, Rob Lucci, Gekko Moriah) well, I can say it starts again... Good times once again! Its about time to beat worthy names (Hody Jones and Ceasar shows no match on Luffy's haki)... so one by one, Luffy will be able to beat Do Flamingo, Big Mam and others....

I am saying that Luffy is indeed "Admiral" level..

don't joke,he can't keep up with admirals yet,otherwise he should have owned jinbe as did akainu or aokiji.... law is a shichibukai,stronger than vice-admirals,yet doflamingo seems to be much stronger than him (he is ways stronger than vergo),so luffy has to defeat joker first.

It'd be cool if Joker/DD when he makes it to PH, he defeats one of the Straw Hats (Nami or Robin for this case) and take them along with him to Drrrssrosa since he's a ladies man and all, Luffy tires to stop
Him, but since Jokers a let's say "Puppetman" Luffy can't attack him because (A) his
Limps are being control, (B) he's using Nami Robin as shields.

If he would be already, One Piece would become very boring. Ir the Marineford War, it became pretty clear that the Admirals (and Whitebeard) were on a whole different Level of strenght. In fact, only Whitebeard could stop them. Luffy isn't the strongest man alive right now.

Doubt it. Sanji and Smoker shouldn't be able to fight at full strenght anymore, Law's fruit won't work if Doflas Haki is stronger, and there's also the control ability. Luffy or Zorro would be good puppets.

Protagonists can't lose their first great fight after a training
Hody and CC were trash. They don't count.

He demonstrated that evolved, he showed various techniques, heshowed that can fight gainst logias.
But fans still DESERVE to see Luffy having a glorious victory before another defeat

Pretty informative chapter. So Vergo was like Flamigo's first mate...since Law beat Vergo, I wonder if Luffy will get a go at Flamingo. It's about time his DF got explained any way. I have a feeling that Smoker and crew will head off and stop Flamingo and crew by talking/arguing etc while Luffy and Law get away. BUT if we were to get an epic full fight here, for me personally, that would make up for this entire arc. But like, I said, I don't think its gonna happen.

I dont like the delay of the Momo/Kinemon reunion but I get it in these circumstances. Plus I see a chapter for Dr. Chopper to shine because I think we all know he's gonna save Kinemon and help Momo with his DF.

I think next chapter (which is in 3 weeks ) we will see Franky continue to battle Baby 5 and Buffalo, Luffy/Law's group finally get outside, Sanji sees Baby 5 and says, I need lady! And Baby 5 says, oh my god...I'm needed. And her and Sanji have a little comedy break. Law gets CC and they get ready to leave and Flamingo shows up at the end.

As far as we know, DoFlamingo can flick a finger and force Law to kill Luffy.
Then, he flick another finger and force Law to kill himself.

I'm not saying Luffy will stop losing, or that he won't lose.

I'm saying that after losing badly in Sabaody and watching the "deaths" of his nakama, then losing badly in Marineford and watching the death of his brother, then going to train for two years with Rayleigh, then coming back and having a tough(er than it should have been) fight against Arlong 2.0, and losing outright 30 seconds after meeting Caesar Clown, with more than one promise of "I won't lose ever again" and "I won't lose because I need to protect my nakama", if Oda wants us to take Luffy seriously, well, he'd better start backing his words.

From the writer's standpoint, he needs to create suspense, so Luffy cannot outclass every opponent he meets, but if Oda jobs him out in his first serious fight after the epic comeback... what is the point of all this "we trust in Luffy", and "I won't lose again", and "don't be careless Luffy", and "I wouldn't follow a weak captain" stuff?
