It looks like Shigeno Shuuichi (author of Initial D) going to start new series and it'll be a romance story.

The new GTO, called GTO Paradise Lost, will start serializing on Issue 20. Plus, it looks like GTO is getting another season of its drama on this summer.

Don't know why they decided to serializing in Young Magazine instead of Shonen Magazine, home of original GTO. Isn't made GTO fanbase not aware the existence of this spin-off.

I think it moved to seinen magazine because the GTO fans are pretty old now. Like I don't think the current teenagers going to know much about GTO.

Plus, it is kind of natural for the sequel series moves to more mature magazine.

Young Magazine has run a GTO spinoff before. The first part of Ino-Head Gargoyle just ended in January. The new series could be a Gargoyle continuation, or another side story, rather than a continuation of the main story.

As hard as this may be to believe, Japanese fans are not reliant on magazines to find new manga. Japan has the internet, TV, radio, newspapers, billboards, smart phones, tablets, and all kinds of modern technology. There are ways to find manga, especially manga as famous as GTO, without ever reading a manga magazine. Don't forget that Shounen Magazine is still a magazine. Like many magazines, it includes advertisements. It could even advertise manga from other Kodansha magazines, like a new GTO spin-off in Young Magazine, Kodansha's highest circulation seinen anthology.

Well, but Ino-Head Gargoyle had poor tank sales(not in top 50 oricon) while another spin-off like 14 days and GT-R done well. that's why I wonder if series published in Young Magazine instead of Shonen Magazine effect its sale or not.

I wonder how they will handle the ecchi, while reading it I'm always thinking how close to hentai it is.

    Looking forward to it.
