Chapter is out
These are the kinds of chapters that annoy me. Instead of bouncing from one fight to another untill you have featured every single fight, please just focus on one or two so some actual development happens. This way we get to see hardly anything of substance.
Also, I find Miu's not releasing her Dou Ki due to her having an enormous amount of Ki a complete cop out. Pretty lame excuse if you ask me.
Lol Ukita got slammed and I knew it was only a matter of time before Miu released here ki.
Also I find it annoying when they switch scenes to each fight in one chap...
I agree with you OP, it feels like mangaka doesn't always get what fans want - except for excess fanservice, which could be used even more sparingly for more effect.
I wrote a recap about this chapter, no predictions for this crap
Me likey. With how many chapters it takes just to cover a serious 1 on 1 there is no way that more than 1 or 2 fights is going to get serious character developing attention. This "highlights of the side fights" makes sense and entertaining in a light way
Kind of surprised that Miu got so much scene time but her fight seems all but over now, and not sure how Kenichi is going to come back as the main attraction. Berserker seems to have the least character depth of anyone Kenichi has fought.
Ukita fodder might be useful. If he gets thrown around enough Kisara might realize some oblique way to win. Good thing judokas know how to take a fall
Kubo's approach to batle is 1 vs 1 and then another, then another. Oda's approach is to show everyone.
I thought Ukita would mellow Chikage, maybe if she trash him a little she may feel sad about it... Or not. Either way this is Kisara's loss.

Chikage is pretty overpowered but her technique seems founded on counter-attacks. If Kisara can get Chikage to initiate attacks instead then "cat style" should let her dodge and evade until the clock runs out
You guys should be content at least. Just imagine if this chapter was completed focused on Miu's fight like in the earlier weeks. We've all been complaining about her fight with Rimi fight for weeks, and now that the author decides to switch it up a bit you guys still complain. Just be patient.

Wait I take that back.........
The author should of focused on Miu's fight completely and ended it in this chapter....that would have been better....now it's going to get dragged out.
I wouldn't say Chikage is overpowered. Kisara just isn't in her league . And I seriously doubt Kisara will have anyways to win, chikage will probably beat her to the verge of death and then Ukita will jump in with some cheesy stuff to weaken Chikage's heart
Either that or we an intervention by someone with real strength.
The one thing I really liked about this chapter is that Sieg is doing well against Hermit.
Yea, the 2 people that we figured would be able to hold their own seems to be doing so (Sieg and Takeda).
The rest seem to be getting completely overpowered.
Miu seems to have entered her destructo mode, so hopefully this is the end of power-ups and their fight is coming to an end, so we can get into more interesting fights, especially Kenichi vs Berserker.
Ukita is like a god of luck with ladies, what chance in hell to run into live action porn show!!
And somebody needs to throw Chikage a cake
Am I the only one who thinks Hsdk has been getting boring and kinda predictable lately ? It's either Miu or Kenichi get a random powerup with no training what so ever or the master of Ryuzanpaku do somehthing without any consequences, or a lame story with the shinpaku alliance and kensei's yomi that comes from no where.
It's like whatever Ryozanpaku does, they never lose. I'm quite sick of everything going in Ryuzanpaku favor, I'd like to see Yami win once in awhile and see one of Kenichi's masters die.
It's just been rather absurd lately, no wonder it's ratings has been dropping so much. I actually Prefer The Breaker over HSDK now
No it's been a long time, like over a year, some hundred or more chapters since I have consistently enjoyed HSDK. I read for the lulz, comedic moments every now and then, along with some pretty cool actions sequences here and there. But plot and story progression has left me disappointed for quite some time.
I don't see what is wrong with this particular arc. I would agree in that the fight between miu and rimi is tedious however now that miu has released her dou ki it is unlikely it will keep escalating with more powerups. If anything I would argue this is the particular part of the fight which should be interesting. MIu has released apparently just fractions of her true ki before however now it seems she has released the full magnitude of her ki which was enough to push rimi back. Miu at large has lost control before when using her ki to the point that she actually hurt herself. In this regard miu will be in a position where she will have to either learn how to control her ki or outright murder rimi. MIu will definitely win however even how hurt rimi ends up will have a long term impact here. Thinking about it there should be one more powerup potentially available to rimi and all of kensei's disciples. Any one of them could use sei do gyo at any point and given the specialized training rimi went through it would make sense she is also capable of it.
And next chapter we have takeda vs lugh which should by all accounts be a pretty good fight even though I do think takeda will lose. I wonder for how long the fights will go on though. Won't a master appear and stop them? Takeda was just about to start technique training which would have been useful against lugh and thor is still hurt. I get the impression that soon enough the fights will get interrupted so that the shinpaku guys can get a chance at special training.
