Football politics is actually a lot of fun and quite funny at times. Mainly because its filled with overly emotional corrupt wackos. For example a argentinan FIFA vice president announced he didnt vote for America for the WC2022 because it would have been like voting for England, and he didnt want to do that unless they gave back the Falklands. Yea. Seriously. xD
I agree, nobody really wants to watch a classico of Barca vs PSG. That would be shit.
God, I thought American sports were corrupt. That guys an even bigger dick than Jeffrey Loria.
Yeah, it seems small-time compared to stuff here. Probably due to how international in scope the game is. We can be pretty provincial here when it comes to sports, but when you bring international politics in it...holy shit
....did you know there's a Robb x Sansa fandom?...
Incest fandom in ASOIAF? It's unheard of!
Kind of bleh indeed.
Speaking about corruption in football, BBC once aired a special investigative program about corruption inside FIFA. The way Sepp Blatter denied all the questions from journos was pretty hilarious; that man was a bad liar. Same goes with almost all of his underlings.
By the way, Barcelona is going to be moved to France league is not as ridiculous when Bayern Munich was supposed to be moved to Serie A back then.
Catalonia flag, what a disappointment, Gar.
Yea the documentary caused so much mixed emotions, Fifa is at war with the british media for a while now. They loath each other. Because England was making a big for the 2018 one, the media then went into overdrive to find more corruption within the executive committee, the same people who at the time were deciding who to give the world cup too. It didnt exactly...er...help our chances. xD
Funnily enough that documentary is actually quite tame compared to the accusations in that journalists book. Accusations of smaller associations turning up to the FIFA congress and voting depending on who leaves a nice suitcase in their hotel room etc. It's incredibly dirty stuff, only a couple of years ago one of the FIFA big wigs was going to stand against Blatter for the presidency, he just happened to find himself being investigated by FIFA for bribery. He lost and Blatter became president without opposition again.

Gary will vomit in his mouth a little when he says that. He'll pretend he doesn't care, sure. But deep down the association between his beloved Ravens and hated Yankees will eat at his beary heart.
What? It's random. I guess you're a Madrid fan?
