Re: Spring Anime 2013 Preview Guide

Well, here are my options for next season (although I know the chart will be completed later, when more information about series pop-up):

    - Kakumeiki Valvrade: I've never watched a mecha anime after, but this time, I'll make an exception. Why? Because Hoshino Katsura made the characters' design!!! I'm looking forward to see her work in a different demographic!!

    - Karneval: I suppose I'll take a look at this because some of my friends are really interested in it (they're fans of the manga).

    - Galgantia: the premise doesn't sound very interesting to me but well, I'll give it a try. Watched the trailer: amazing animation!!!! And the music was fantastic. I¡ll definetely watch it!

    - RDG: Red Data Girl: same here. I'll give it a look, maybe.

    - Arata Kangatari:: Seems interesting (at least, at first sight). But that white haired boy... he reminds me Inuyasha XD

New Valvrave PV, Cast and Crew Announced

    Production: Sunrise
    Director: Matsuo Kou
Original Character Design: Hoshino Katsura (mangaka of D. Gray Man)
Starring: Ryouhei Kimura, Ryota Ohsaka, Tomatsu Haruka, and Asami Seto

The story is set in an era when 70% of the human race lives in space due to the development of space cities. Between two major powers — the Dorushia Military Pact Federation and the Atlantic Ring United States (ARUS) — there is a small neutral nation called Jiōru that has prospered economically. The protagonist Haruto, a high school student who lives in Jiōru, encounters the mysterious "forbidden" humanoid weapon Valvrave when the Dorushia army invades.

I'm already almost overwhelmed by how many shows I think I might watch. I can't remember a season with this many good looking shows.

    Second PV for Karneval:

Nothing new a lot compared to the first PV except more casts. The trailers look good. Kamiya Hiroshi and Mamoru Miyano plays 2 main roles? Whee~

And staff list for Aku no Hana:

    Quote Quote:
Director: Nagahama Hiroshi (Mushishi, Detroit Metal City director)
Series Director: Hirakawa Tetsuo (Denpa Onna, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei key animator)
Series Compositon,Script: Itami Aki (Mushishi, Fruits Basket composition)
Character Design: Shimamura Hidekazu (Mushishi, Chaos;Head character designer)
    Studio: Xexcs
So many staff members from Mushishi. I heard Mushishi is good (and been sitting idly in my to-watch list ) so hopefully the series is in the right hands.

I'm also looking forward to the S;G movie. There are a lot of good movies scheduled for this year. The St. Young Men movie looks good, so does Aura: Maryuuinkouga Saigo no Tatakai. Hal is coming out in June, the AnoHana movie soon after that.

True. Aura reminds me of Chu2 a damn lot but I don't mind if it's well done. Hal's PV was sweet and the author of Ao Haru Ride doing the chara design is a plus too. I have mixed feelings regarding the AnoHana movie, though I'm curious how they will handle a retelling from Menma's point of view.

Looking forward to the Hanasaku Iroha movie too, I enjoyed the anime a damn lot so I'm having high hopes for the movie. Probably not to everyone's taste, as far as I know the anime was only midly appreciated by the western community but I know some people here who love the anime as much as I do

Whoa... Now some other anime has caught my eyes.. I think I'll add Tenpou Suikoden and Red Data Girl to my list. Even Devil Survivor 2 looks interesting but I don't even watch the first one...
and Shima Kousaku is made into anime? I used to proofread for the manga, thinking that it wasn't that popular, but I guess I was wrong...
Might check for Arcana Famiglia and Code Breaker OVA....

I think it's already been answered that Devil Survivor 2 is based on a game, the second of the Devil Survivor sub franchise of Shin Megami Tensei series. Just like Persona 3 and Persona 4. The first game isn't even adapted to anime yet, and there's no need to because each is a standalone game.

I'm kind of upset that Higurashi turned out to be a movie since it really sounded good at first, but oh well.
