Every mission has had some great moments, but for me it would have to be the Buddha mission. It was perfect.
A close second would be the Nuri mission. I enjoyed it a lot and it would even have become my favorite were it not for Nurarihyon. I hated the way he was killed. I mean wtf? He could detect an invisible Nishi from off to the side, almost behind him, but he couldn't detect Katou dragging his bloody wreck of a body over to the H-gun? I thought the ending was rushed and weak.
Yeah I understood it, I just didn't like it.
I loved the dino one, we got to see all the new character in their first mission. nothing was more badass than sakurai kill that dino that jumped at him. http://www.mangavolume.com/index.php...143&page_nr=24
Ah, the good old days, back when Sakurai was still useful.
it pains me to see him be so useless.
It's the Osaka mission. We got to see sum badass aliens. A real kickass
Gantz team, even though most of them died . Plus we got to see how
weak the Tokyo team was without Kurono, not including Katou.
Katou kicked ass in that mission.
about half of the osaka team lived (old couple and grandchild, perv and knob, 4eyes, 2 girls from what i remember) just all the strong ones died.
12 members of Osaka team died, that is alot. And only 6 survived I'd
say most of the Osaka team die.
1 out of 3, close enough lol.
* Old guy
* Old guy's wife
* Old guy's grandchild
* Knob's girlfriend
* Knob's girlfriends friend
* Naked guy
To be fair, the second and third strongest Osakan's survived. The Sadist Trio wasn't that great. The real loss for the team was Oka and Kyou. The rest were insignificant. We can probably say that most of the Osakans are dead now after Italy though.
You forgot George Shimaki. He was way better than Kyou. The second
strongest after Oka.
Buddha was my favorite mission. But there were a lot of favorite scenes.
Best death scene: Tae.
Close second: Nishi.
Most amusing battle: Kuwabara vs. the giant ecchi monster.
Best sex scene: Kei and Sei.
Best fight: Katou vs. 1000 arms.
Close second: Reika vs. the shapeshifting Oni boss. The way she rescued Inaba is priceless.
Most disturbing scene: The Nishi school massacre.
Best non-mission battle: Izumi's massacre in the square.
Favorite male character: Kaze. Hey, he resembles me.
Favorite female character: Sei. Hot, sexy, smart and totally bad@$$. I like Reika, too, though. She's a lot tougher than she gets credit for.
Favorite target: Tae.
@JediKnight: George wasn't necessarily second next to Oka. I thought that Kuwabara was a lot more skilled. He went through most of the mission without his suit after all. We didn't really get to see Kyou's full potential, but you are probably right about him being inferior to George when it comes to combat. He was very good with the bikes though, which is rare, and the possibilities that he opened up with his skill with technology could have been considered invaluable.
I'm going to copy george and mention my favorite and least favorite characters.
Favorite male: Nishi. He kills cats for sexual pleasure. What's not to like?
Least favorite male: Takeshi/That reporter guy in Germany
Favorite female: Sei. I couldn't stand Kishimoto, I can't stand Reika, and then it comes down to choosing between Tae, Sadako, and that Grandma from the Tanaka mission. Plus all of george's reasons I guess.
Least favorite female: Kishimoto. She was so stupid and so useless...
Concerning the survivors of the Osaka team: The Osaka team was really just 5 players to begin with: 4 solid veterans and 1 rookie with potential (Kyou the drug addict).
The rest of the team, including the Sadists, were just glorified cannon fodder, about the same thing as the stream of rookies that pass through the Tokyo Gantz.
I think 3 of the 4 veterans probably survived, including Oka.
Never trust a shape-shifting alien who lands empty-handed, but is carrying what looks like Oka's head and torso when Katou turns around. The odds are that Oka's still alive and kicking, and Nuri was just psyching Katou out.
Knob was the second-best Osakan. He was the leader of the three veterans. He had cleared 4 times, and he will probably have cleared 5 times after the Nuri mission ended. Kuwabara and George were about the same skill level, even though they had only cleared 3 times each.
That means that out of the four veterans, three of them are probably still alive.
When the Tokyo team meets the Osakans again, Oka may have his 8th clear under his belt; that big monster he took out was probably close to 100 points. Knob should have his 5th clear, and have a gorilla suit by now. And Kuwabara will still be a sex freak.
The rest of them weren't Gantz warriors; if they had made it through the Nuri mission, they would probably die in the next mission anyway.
Which would you rather have on your team, all of the cannon fodder or one of the veterans?
