    Mushishi

I found this gem awhile ago. Of course it was listed in anidb's top 10 until they changed their site layout.. but regardless its a good anime. Very artistic, Excellent music, theme and animation.. A must have for any otaku's collection... In terms of downloading I recommend the following site

    Re: Mushishi

I just finished watching this anime. I've heard about it, and that's why so eager finding this anime. Luckily, my friend had the 25 episodes, so all I had to do was downloading the final episode ^_^

Definitely, it's one of the best anime I've ever seen. Everything is so wonderful. The animation, theme, etc. But, the one that captivated me the most is the stories. It's more than just supernatural. It's about human, about the nature, and the relationship between. It's about life.

I wish there would really be a second season as the rumors said. But, I guess they plan to wait for enough stories in the manga.

    Re: Mushishi

Make no mistake. mushishi is the japanese version of x-files. Okay maybe not but it's the closest you'll ever get. Watch it. NOW!

manga is still being made. I got the latest volume, and those stories are not in the TV series. If someone could make it available here, i'd gladly trans it.

I know some group was doing it but i have no idea what happened to it.

    Download here.

    Brilliant anime.

(Note: If you're looking for explosions and powerups, look elsewhere.)

ah, Ginko and Tanyuu's dialogue at eps 20, i think that's the most romantic dialoge i've seen

I was hoping Ginko would revisit that house with the sister of the middleofwinteroasisdiscoverer, who seemed to have a big crush on him.

Sadly, this series is completely and totally episodic. :/

A masterpiece, in my opinion. I loved the calm atmosphere around the main character and the towns... a great anime.

It is a wonderful anime, I hope we can see a second season.

    Re: Mushi-shi

I agree with everything said above. it's a wonderful anime and on top of that, it can enchant its audience without any great action. It's just plain awesomeness.
By the way, does anybody know if there are subs out for the Mushi-shi live-action movie?

    From this thread.

I understand. The pace is rather slow even compared to other episodic anime and doesn't have an obvious climax/"ah hah!" moment. I can see it being difficult for people who are used to watch a lot of fast-paced shows.

I've skipped around a few episodes and only watched episodes 1, 2, 7, 8, 19 and 22 so far. (They all guest star voice actors I recognize from Reborn. orz)

Oh yeah lol I know that movie, it has been ages since I watched it though. It's similar in a way, yes.
The comparison was made after watching the first episode, but I still think Mushishi resembles Princess Mononoke in a way. The Shinto religion in Japan deals heavily with nature, and I think that's where they both got their influence from.

    No there's a plot reason
Now I have to go look for that episode!
