This is a great series!It's kinda rare to see the Youkai is the main character's comrades(not to mention the protagonist is a Youkai,too),even though nowadays in shonen manga,especially Weekly Shounen Jump,we often see evil spirits,ghosts or demons as the enemies(ex:Bleach,D.Gray-man,Mieru Hito,Hitomi no Catoblepas).I always like this kind of manga that uses the usual bad guys as the good guys(ex:One Piece & Katekyo Hitman Reborn!)

Well I wasn't keen when I read chapter 1 - sometimes things were too messy and complex in art. But now I watched into chapter 2 and I was positively suprised - I really hope translations and scanlations pop up.

Chapter 2 was kinda let down for me.There are no action scenes,Rikuo didn't transform into his Youkai form,and his personality returned back to the one he had in the last year's one-shot.I'm expecting him to has a polite and innocent personality,at least that's what I saw him when I read the last two pages from chapter 1 where Rikuo prepares to go to school.

Well only read chapter 1.It was realy interesting,Nuri is a very interesting yokai,he is a major alive villain in Gantz right now,his grandson is preety cool to.Cant wait for the second chapter beeing translated and scanlated.

I read and enjoyed the first chapter yesterday. I like the large cast of youkai that was introduced, both good and bad guys. I like the very funky Neuro-reminiscent monster design. The story kept me interested, too. I have no idea where it's going to go from here but that's a good thing.

I haven't read Chapter 2 due to lack of a translation, but I did flip through it and it looks good. Going just by the pacing and art, it reminds me of early Muhyo & Roujii.

I'll be keeping my eye on this one for sure.

No translations have come out yet (may have to try it myself but sort of weak at it and haven't done translations since back when I did the first nine volumes of Nube) but I like how this series has been turning out so far. Interesting designs, nice yokai interactions...and another cute yukionna joining the shonen ranks. I'll see what I can do if I can.

I like Chapter 3.Finally Rikuo transform again.Oh,and I like that Zen guy,the new character.Looks like he's Rikuo's old friend.The scene where both of them drink sake together is cool!

Chapter 3 was great. I love the stylish art in the last few pages... the story this time around was great, too. If anything, this series definitely has atmosphere (when kid!Rikuo isn't just hanging out in school anyway).

Did anyone else recognize the Sakazuki from the first episode of Mushishi?

I'm glad he doesn't transform every chapter. It keeps it from feeling like it has a formula too early on.

Yeah,I like Usami better than Kana-chan,even though both of them has the exact same face.

I didn't read the scans atm but I think it's about time I'll start looking at the raws make me curious but I'll wait a bit for some chapters to see where this will go:
1. is this going to be a fighting spirit etc shounen like bleach
2. is this going to be more like muhyo to roujie

if it's 2. then I'll read it

It's the total opposite of number 1.The protagonist fight along with his comrades which all of his comrade is bad spirit/demon called Youkai.
