[Complete] Mushishi by Urushibara Yuki (v10)

Hey,
for everyone who is interested in the manga and anime Mushishi my website Mushishi.Net might be of interest.
I offer all the available anime episodes as direct downloads and upload the manga as I write this down. Informations are available as well.

Since this is a discussion board I don't want to make an advertising out of this thread, and rather start a discussion.
Who likes the manga? Who likes the anime? Why do you like them? What do you think of the story/the characters?

I got introduced to it through a friend at a different forum. I watched the first two animes and was blown away by the idea that there are things beyond our beliefs, like Mushi, who are, somewhat, the same thing as life itself. The story has actually only one character but I love his journey and the stories he lives through. It's pretty deep and calm, which is kinda nice, since almost everything else has something to do with beating up each other.

Haha yes, of course. It's a pretty unknown manga. In my opinion, it is more an insider tip. If you decide to read/watch it, let me now.

For an unknown manga, it has an anime AND live-action movie

But it still very unknown. Not many people watch the anime nor read the manga.

Here is a synopsis of Mushishi:

Mushishi (literally translated "Bug Master") is a manga and anime by Urushibara Yuki.
Mushis are neither plant nor animal, neither microbe nor fungus. They are more like primitive life forms. Their existence is so innocuous that we don't notice that they exist until they have manifested some mysterious phenomena. They do not exist to frighten people; they just are. Throughout the story there are stories about Ginko, a wandering Mushishi, who knows about the Mushi and who acts as a mediator between humans and Mushi. During his journey, he meets various people and Mushi.

7 scanlated volumes (37 scanlated chapters)! The anime is based on the manga and follows the stories of the main character, Ginko, in a different pace.

Mangascreener & Lost Heaven scanlated Mushishi for a while, but they retired the project.
The newest chapters haven been scanlated by fans from the LiveJournal group "Mushishi".

Sorry I meant that there are 6 complete scanlated volumes and two chapters of the 7th volume available. So 37 chapters!
