It would not surprise me if Eiji becomes the most popular first and used his "power" to cancel Trap.

wow, ch43 was fast paced. Lots of the results were in, and god, I can't believe they did so well!!!! (The Otter's author really crack me up) Eiji's getting really serious now (not that he wasn't before lol), it would be interesting to see how Crow would do XD If Trap continue like this to up to chapter 20 or something, I'm pretty sure they will be able to get an anime! (though, things are going so well lately.... I keep feeling something bad will hapen ><)

problem is, nakai is a pervert and that girl is a bit too pretty for that. He is good with manga, thats it...

when bakuman begun i thouight this would happen too, but right now eiji and mashiro are friends/rivals. You don't just use cheap moves to beat your enemy, you beat them with your own power, in other words, he is going to be so popular that trap will never reach him again. (imagine onepiece and naruto, onepiece got twice as much votes as bleach/naruto)

but crow got a bit problem himself, with the new assistent being not so good at backgrounds and...not yet understanding what he means with his sound-effects XP

but this chapter showed us a big problem that i think might affect the future, mainly that mashiro can't keep this up. He still wants to improve, but as a fulltime mangaka you can't sit back a few hours and practice drawing, and so he needs to cut time on sleeping, and thats even worse.

Oh oh oh!
Eji's showing his seriouscat face! He was always so cheerful and encouraging and all of a sudden, he feels like his supremacy is within reach, and he shifts into muscle gear! I love it. I can't wait to see what a genius with some real motivation can do.

Also, aoki is becoming more and more likable...

I don't think Aoki and Nakai will ever have the kind of relationship that our boys do. Shujin was the one who helped Saiko realize he wanted to do manga, and they've gone through so many (about 5) trials trying to get to where they are today. Still, it makes me happy to see Aoki respecting what Nakai says. He is the most experienced person we've been shown thus far so it is always good to see that kind of dedication paying off in ways like this

I'm very worried about Saiko. We've been hit over the head with how his path is so similar to the one his uncle walked down, and we all know how it worked out for the former guy. Losing weight, not getting sleep, enough stress to give a kid his age ulcers; it adds up. Being tempted with the idea that they are close to an anime is not going to help him put things in perspective for him either. It'd be a very dark ending if he died

Why you guys keep saying that Eiji have powers to cancel a manga he wants?
Doesn't the Chief Editor refuse that? or my english understanding is wrong?

Anyway regarding Saiko's health, I guess next chapter that Miyoshi gonna tell it to Azuki to remind him and I guess we'll see them make their 1st volume as well.

I don't think we have to be all to scared to see Saiko dieing, it would just add nothing to the series except some unnecessary drama. I wonder if it'll be a reoccuring problem his lack of sleep, he did say that he would now make sure to be ready before friday each time with the lack of sleep beeing mostly due to him wanting to improve his drawing but it could just mean he'll sleep even less which would truly be alarming.

The rankings, Trap tieing with Crow! That's faster then I expected again, kind of going to easy imo. Aoki and Naika looks in trouble with doing the thing that Saiko and Shujin didn't do (alter their manga). I don't even understand where Naiko gets this unwarranted self confidence when his 15 years of experience amount to nothing. But I'll give him the benefit of my doubt till my hunches are confirmed that it'll turn out negatively in the long run.

And kind of funny at the assistances. Naika has 4, Eiji seems to have 1 and so does Fukuda. Hattori doesn't look like a man who doesn't do his job properly seeing his so eager for succes and was even willing to help to finish up Fukuda's work but it makes you wonder when Eiji & Fukuda seem to be understaffed.

Eiji's look was awesome at the end. Can't word it better then Kravmaga. I fully agree with you.

I think that's part of the plan. Get them to have some moderate success and then they start to get over confident then Trap falls in the ranking and maybe gets canceled and they have to start over on a new series.

Would definitely slow down the pace of the manga but overall be better for the story imo. Plus, it would show the true difficulties of becoming a mangaka.

I was wondering if they would say anything about the first tank coming out for Trap... I mean with Saikou barely keeping up... how would he even find the time to do the neccessary work for the tank?

so far is good, but drama is coming up a head. We'll see saiko keep struggling to balans with his sleep and artwork, maybe even passing out. Wich maybe remind him of his uncle.
Hiramaru is really craking me up, the guy is good, but hates manga. I like the different type of mangakas that's in Bakuman world

Eji = super genius mangaka, like to draw whatever he likes, but respect his rivals and friends.
shujin & takagi = super determined, work hard, willing to take risk
hinamaru= the other genius,brickering and suffering to work on his manga, like to quit the busines, lazy, cranky wich its funny
nakai & Aoki = the underdog, struggling, lack in confidence (Aoki)
fukuda= the high thinker, the know it all, rival mentallty
koji= the a-hole, overconfidence, use cheap tricks

well, the editor-in-chief said "ask me again then" in other words, even though he hasn't agreed on it, doesn't mean its completely out of the world.

Just wanted to add something
even though they tied this time around, its only THIS time, it was the final chapter of a case/arc and therefore bumped their ranking, but eiji is ALWAYS around third place.
