Yamanoi Hazuki (Tsukiko)
The main character of Ame Nochi Hare, and one of the five affected
students. As a guy his name is Yamanoi Hazuki. As a girl she is known as
Yamanoi Tsukiko, or simply Tsuki-chan. He has a crush on Houjou Asumi,
but Asumi only knows the girl Tsuki-chan.
Kisaragi Touma (Mako)
One of the five affected students. Half Japanese, half American(?), fluent in
English, he is the most bold about accepting his girl form. One of his first
suggestions as a girl was that they all take a bath together.
Sakonji Madoka (Madoka)
One of the five affected students. He is the only one of the five (that we
know of) who has a fiancée. His given name, Madoka, is a common girls
name, so he is the only one who doesn't need to change his name when he
changes to a girl.
Goromaru Junta (Junko)
One of the five affected students. He is small, but spunky, and always
hungry. Strong for his size, he needs help to keep out of fights.
Maki Yuusuke (Yuuko)
One of the five affected students. When they all turned into girls the first
time, the other four boys had each other. Maki had to try dealing with
turning into a girl without the help of others. Eventually they found each
other. Goromaru likes to call him/her Maki-chan.
Yamanoi Tsukiko (Hazuki)
The girl version of Yamanoi Hazuki
Kisaragi Mako (Touma)
The girl version of Kisaragi Touma
Sakonji Madoka (Madoka)
The girl version of Sakonji Madoka. His given name, Madoka, is a common
girls name, so he is the only one who doesn't need to change his name when
he changes to a girl.
Goromaru Junko (Junta)
The girl version of Goromaru Junta
Maki Yuuko (Yuusuke)
The girl version of Maki Yuusuke
Houjou Asumi
A girl who befreinds Tsukiko (Hazuki). She calls Tsukiko Tsuki-chan.
Mutsu Sakurako
A freind of Asumi. She tries to "test" the English ability of Tsukiko (Hazuki),
but Mako (Touma) comes to the rescue in grand style.
Haruto
The school gardener and a boys dorm supervisor. One of the few people
who know the boy's secret. He asked the boys to call him Haru-chan. He
goes out of his way to help with the five, providing funds for basic clothes,
obtained girls uniforms, and allows his home to be a refuge for the five boys
when they turn into girls.
Jouji
A freind of Haruto (another dorm supervisor?). He stumbled upon a
compromizing situation between Haruto and Tsukiko (Hazuki). He was then
let in on the secret.
Kaoruko
The headmistress of Amagai Academy Girl's High School. She was sought
out by Haruto to help place the boys into the girls school when they change
to girl-form. She is another of the few who know the secret.

How I was wrong. I was again surprised by the fact the students only change into girls when it rains, this made it far more interesting than 'they just changed once' scenarios I have seen before.
The characters are diverse and non two-dimensional.
So far I give this manga a 4 out of 5... hopefully they won't screw it up. Permalink " "
