Summary and Preview
Rachel Black and her partner are doing security duty for the dedication of the Brian Boru, a new warship in Northern Ireland, and the representative from the London Government that's come to oversee the christening. When a terrorist attacks with gas and a knife, they manage to prevent anyone from getting hurt, but the ceremony is still thrown completely off.
Before she was on security detail for the UK government, Rachel was an archaeologist. Not long after the incident on the Brian Boru, Yaeko Kirishima, an engineering student who knows her former mentor, Rachel, gets in touch with Rachel to ask why she gave up archaeology before telling her that there is something she must see, something related to the ancient gods of Ireland.
The day after meeting with Yaeko, Rachel goes by her office to ask her some questions, only to find Yaeko's corpse, minus the head. Yaeko has become a sacrifice, but to which god and why? [polm23]
