Dengeki Daisy turned out to be very good, in my opinion. The plot goes above the typical school-life romance; dealing with, at times, the male protagonist’s shady past and the consequences he’s still dealing with as a result. Yes, there is angst, but rightly so. The plot also involves a lot of computers, hacking, and a mysterious missing program. -The geek in me approved of it.
The characters are all easy to sympathize with and are neither one-dimensional nor annoying; Teru is a sweet and intelligent girl, surrounded by friends who care for her. Kurosaki is a hilarious twist on a tsundere-type. My favorite scene of him so far is a picture of him grinning evilly, wielding a weed-whacker as a weapon.
The romance moves at a slow and more believable pace, with many comic relief gags that are actually funny. I think it’s a shoujo read any shonen manga-loving girl would enjoy.
