Summary and Preview

In a city so dismal it’s known only as “the Hole,” a clan of sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious “experiments” in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they’re hunting and killing the sorcerers of the Hole, hoping that eventually they’ll kill the right one. But when En, the head sorcerer, gets word of a lizard–man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of “cleaners” into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.

This is a great read, looks to be a grim story from the harsh art but its got a wierd lightness for a story that starts with a mans head being eaten.

The action is there but even the lulls inbetween have excellent black humour & really built the world of Hole for me in the beginning.
It flows nicely & the characters good or bad are very likeable & develop throughout the story. My favourite characters are En the mushroom obsessed leader of the bad guys who quickly outgrows the typical villain mould & Ebisu one of his subordinates who you would be inhumane not to laugh along with(at).

Its a great universe to slot yourself in so read up cos im dying to discuss it with people
