Summary and Preview

There is an unknown medical condition that causes wind-up knobs to grow on people’s back. Without periodically winding these up, the people affected with this condition will become immobile and lose consciousness but otherwise live normal lives. The origin behind how people got this condition and any cure are all unknown. Citizens who are infected with this condition are sent to concentration camps and secluded from the rest of society.

Miku lived with her parents, who were both affected by this condition, away from society as they were fugitives of the government. However one day, they are discovered and only Miku was able to escape. Her parents instruct her to seek help from a mysterious boy named Kuro who also has a wind-up knob on his back. Miku departs on a journey that will help her discover the strength of the human spirit. [vyc]

突然体におもちゃの“ねじ”のようなものが生えてくる「ねじまき症候群」という病気が発症する世界。発症してしまった人々は、国家によって捕らえられて隔離されてしまうため、隠れて住む者も少なくなかった。主人公の少女・未来も、そんな発症者の両親をもつ女の子であり、３人で隠れて暮らしていたが、ある日両親が国家に捕らえられてしまい…。
雰囲気のあるイラストが読む者に爽やかな読後感を与えるファンタジー作品。
