In order to escape serious problems, such as pollution, population increase, and diminishing natural resources, humanity has created the virtual world of "Gaia." In Gaia, people can continue to live their peaceful, ordinary lives, but without pain or death. Yuri is doing just that when he comes across a strange unregistered money card called an "Oz" type card. Against his better judgment, he uses it, and afterward notices something quite odd; though he is in Gaia, for some reason he is now capable of feeling pain... What has Yuri got himself into?!
