Bashou is a thief with no family in the Sengoku period of Japan. One day the princess Karin, impressed by his speed, takes him in as her official messenger. One day, while rushing to rescue his beloved princess, Bashou accidentally passes through a strange torii that lands him in modern day Japan! He stands out from the crowd with his messenger-flag and old-style clothing, but he soon discovers a girl called Kanon, who appears to be the descendant of princess Karin. Until he can find his way back to his princess, he's determined to be unswervingly loyal to Kanon! While Kanon thinks he's a freak at first, she may grow to appreciate having someone around that she can trust... [tethysdust]
