Summary and Preview

Finding an owl staring at them in the middle of the day might have seemed strange enough for Midori and his sister, Shinko, and even more so when it followed them home and sat on Midori’s shoulder! After waking from a strange dream that night, Midori watches as his sister disappears into a strange mirror that suddenly appeared in his house. What’s more, after following his sister through the mirror, they descend a long staircase and find a princess-like girl asleep in a glass case of flowers, which he had just dreamed of. After reluctantly kissing the sleeping girl at the insistence of his sister, she awakens – and she’s not too happy about it. The princess is further incensed when the spirit of her mother, and the owl, tell her the two are to be wed. What will Midori do with a talking owl, a spoiled magical princess and a sister who finds the whole thing much more amusing than him? [applezoid]
