Summary and Preview
Moving back to his childhood home after years living away, Saku Ooyagi expects to spend his days happily reading books by himself, joining the literature club, and passing time quietly in peace. However, Mihoshi Akeno, the girl who broke his arm by falling out of a tree and on to him shortly before he left and then didn't even say goodbye, now the hyper-energetic poster girl for the school astronomy club, recruits him and pulls him in to her efforts to expand the club and show everyone the beauty of the night sky.
Besides the business of keeping the astronomy club big enough to keep from getting shut down, though, Saku is busy trying to figure out Mihoshi's real feelings for him while dealing with Hime Makita, a girl who joined the astronomy club because she's fallen for him, and puzzling out his relationship with the literature club and its demure, composed, and lovely de-facto president (and actual student council president), Fumie Kotozuka. This is to say nothing of the endless trouble caused by his perverted friend from the photography club, Masashi Edogawa, who is always with the astronomy club for reasons that aren't clear.
