Summary and Preview

Somewhere in the desert lies the world's greatest treasure: the 12 Rings of the Dead, the only source of the mysterious substance Zombie Powder, which can raise the dead and grant eternal life. Into this world stalks Gamma Akutabi, a man with a metal arm and a six-foot chainsaw, cybernetically enhanced master of the legendary martial art . But it takes more than one man to find the ultimate prize. You need a team: super-gunman C.T. Smith, knife-slinging teenager Elwood, and brilliant (and impossibly big-breasted) journalist Wolfgangina. Against an army of crooks and killers, against runaway trains and superpowered madmen, they'll need all their skills... but the most dangerous thing in the west might be the Rings themselves...

I am kind of confused with this manga. On one part it is style and fastpaced action on the other it is drama to the point of depression. And somehow the author manages to have both happen at the same time. It could have had the potential to knock down the greatest of the genre, however sadly it ends when it begins (another contradiction, I know but if you read it - which I suggest - you will understand it). I think this manga deserved more than 4 Volumes and until today I keep searching for a sequel, however it would appear there are none. Maybe the publisher had it limited to that number, maybe the author didn't think he could keep up with it (in which case ending it while it was good is a fine thing, I believe). Anyways, if you don't mind western, fast paced action, comedy and all of it laced with drama, Zombie Powder might just turn out to be an addicting read for you. Permalink " "
