Special Issue: vBulletin Launch!!

First, I'd like to thank all of you for your patience during the move. :) And welcome you to the vBulletin version of our beloved site. We hope the new features will impress and please everyone. :D

I'd also like to thank our awesome team! Terra spent hours and hours and hours on end to get this site up and ready for everyone to enjoy. Fuzzy made sure that when we got here, we would have some of the familiar comforts of the themes we had at the old MH site. NJT my fellow admin and father of this site, spent as much time here as he could, doing whatever that needed to be done so we could reopen as soon as possible. And lastly (and definitely not least), I'd like say a BIG THANK YOU and much love for our awesome moderators, Allashandra, bax, des, eni, Ayah, Predator, Dragonzair, ttxdragon, TamerLane and LadyHatake who, many of them worked around the clock and helped in any way they could to get this site back up and running! We couldn't have done it without them. So make sure to give them lots of love and thanks for all their hard work!! :glomp

And I'd like to say, while we are opening back up, and most of the forums have been cleaned, we are still working on things, so there will be some bumps along the way. So if you notice anything amiss with the site, please let us know! You'll also probably need to update your profile and edit your signature/avatar. Also your username is now your registered name. vB does not allow you to have 2 names like SMF so your display name and your login name are one and the same. If you would like to change your name you can post in this thread.

For those of you that haven't been able to log in yet, YOU WILL NEED TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD which will be done through your email (the one you are registered with for this site). Just follow the link and have a new password sent to your email. For the 150 or so of you that registered while we were in the midst of our move (if you registered while there was only 1 board open to posting) then you will need to re-register as your user information didn't get imported to the new site. If you've logged in and you still get the permission errors, first MAKE SURE YOUR ACCOUNT IS ACTIVATED!!! If that still doesn't solve your problems, Contact Us via email. Please do NOT create a dupe!!

One thing we were able to do, after switching to vB is the prefix thread feature which allowed us to get rid of many of the childboards that were just cluttering up the site. At the bottom of the board, after the list of threads, you'll see a box that allows you to sort the threads. One of the options is to sort by prefix. Another thing you can do is in the drop down for Prefix: you can chose what prefix to view or all. A little more detailed explanations can be found here, along with some information on where some of the boards went. ^^

We will try to come out with some good FAQs for you as soon as we can explaining how to get around this site and more on the prefix threads, but in the meanwhile, the built-in vB FAQ is a great resource. There's a convenient link located near the top of the page.

And lastly, we now have 2 versions of the site going. The regular version with the integrated mkportals (which is what you're used to with the side navigational menu and everything. And the "stripped" version without mkportals integrated.
