Cowboy Bebop live-action movie

Producer Erwin Stoff (The Matrix, Constantine, I Am Legend) reveals for iF Magazine that he’s developing a Cowboy Bebop live-action movie for Fox. This is in its early stages, as it was signed just the other day. Stoff is pretty excited to be working on this movie, he also said that his main concern is the “real degree of faithfulness to the tone of the movie, to the mix of genres, and so on and so forth,” basically promising us a really good watch-worthy movie. Well, he’s somewhat a good producer, but I’m still not sure this will be a good movie, guess time will decide that. Still, this comes pretty much as a surprise, like the 20th Century Boys, Akira and Dragonball live-action movies, which I plan to watch, even if it’s just for kicks, hehe.
Jet Black should definetly be Schwarzenegger, right? LOL!

I think I'm going to the cinema to see Dragonball, there's no other place to enjoy the failure that movie will be :D

Sounds good to me. I just hope they don't screw up the classic ending. AND they are making a Dragonball movie??? Well it's probably too much to hope that won't be a massive failure, but I look forward to it anyway. XD

What why no damnit!? Don't want, don't want, go away. It's gonna be shit for sure, they really like trashing epic cult classics don't they? They should get some new, original material and they might actually get a decent outcome. ><

I'm looking forward to this! If it sucks, it should be fun to watch anyway. I expect Dragonball to make me laugh, a lot. And I'm really looking forward to seeing the first 20th Century Boy, the trailer looked quite good.

I totally understand why they want to make a bebop movie, but can they capture the coolness emanating from the characters though? if not the movie would suck. 20th century boys would be easy to pull off with some good actors + director. the other 2 movies will stink no matter how they make it.

I guess I'm the only one excited about Dragonball. Theyve got that, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Death Note currently in pre-production. They can't turn out that bad.

I hope that Cowboy Bebop never ever gets made into a live action movie. I can already see whats going to happen... they(Fox) are going to try and get all these high profile actors and force them into parts/roles they aren't meant to be in... not to mention they're going to go crazy with the special effects for absolutely no reason. If they really cared about making a great Bebop movie then they would just make another animated one. This just annoys me....

Since the producer is already keeping in mind the mix of genres, then there's only one thing left that can make or break this movie; Spike's afro.
