The 36th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump has confirmed the new manga by the Death Note duo, Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, which will go on sale on August 11. Apparently it'll be some explosive manga, since Bakuman literally means Explosive Manga. Let's hope they don't mess it up halfway through the series. via ANN
Dark Horse announced that they won't be cancelling the Bride of the Water God, Shaman Warrior and Translucent manhwas. Due to a change of translators, they're gonna be released pretty late, starting from may 2009. via MangaBlog
Harukana Machi-E, Taniguchi Jiro's award-winning manga will be published in english by Fanfare/Ponent Mon in 2009 under the name of "A Distant Neighborhood". via ICv2
Also, Mizuho from Onegai Teacher is now on sake bottles. Oh, and Taira Aiki will play the role of Kanna in the up-coming 20th Century Boys live-action movie, while Kurosawa Toshiaki will play the role of Kenji. via Japanator
