Hyde and Closer 12

All right! Done with translations for the day. I hope you all enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed doing them. This chapter was especially nice. I hope that at the end of this series we get to see how much Shunpei has matured.

(TN- The huge amount of text above is simply reiterating the story so far. Scantlators (or scantlator) can either erase it, leave it as is, or simply put their own summary of the story so far. Well…as I type this Volume 2 is available and probably won’t have this text, so you have the choice of waiting for those scans too. I guess Sunday felt for their 50th anniversary they should get new fans acquainted with the series in the magazine. )

And as usual…

The only thing I did epically was fail.

Hyde: Of course you will if you think that way all of the time Shun!

Shunpei: You just don’t understand people’s feelings…

Being awesome is difficult…

I wish I could be like you and Grandpa Hyde.

I want to be a really awesome guy.

Hyde: Say Shun.

Shunpei: What?

Hyde: What is it to you that makes an awesome guy?

Do you have any sort of qualifications?

(Side Text: Shunpei is a boy who looks down on himself, and as such his classmate Uryuu Tatsumi didn’t think much of him either. However a mysterious enemy attacking from the shadows soon turned the two rivals into good friends. Now with Hyde’s strength Shunpei and Tatsumi will stand against future threats.)

(Side Text- Closer Shunpei. He happens to be the target of all the Magicians in the world because of his powerful magic wielding Grandfather. The protagonist.)

Kids: Dead center!!

Little kid: Wow that’s so cool!

Big nose: Hehe well I am pretty awesome.

Fatty: But we’re all out of targets now…so there’s nothing to do.

Big nose: How about we use your robot there for our next round then?

Little kid: Huh?

Little kid: If I let you use him, you’ll just smash him up won’t you?

Big nose?: Just let me see him for a second! It’ll be fine.

After all, don’t you want to witness some more of my awesomeness?

Little kid: No I don’t care! Stop it!

Fatty?: Don’t be so stingy!

Shunpei: What are we going to play today?

Minori: We could go play games at my house..

I just got a new one the other day.

Shunpei: Whaat? Video games again?

Wouldn’t it be more fun to play outside?

Ever since I was born my body’s been kind of weak..

And so I’ve been told not to play outside for my sake.

Shunpei: Just a minute won’t hurt you!

And besides, if you stay inside all of the time you won’t grow up to be a cool dude!

Shunpei: Just come on already!!

My boy Shun didn’t understand his sickness that well and asked him to come out and play.

Mom: That child was warned by his doctor not to go out and play because of his condition!

It’s quite fortunate that nothing serious happened to him today,

But what if he hadn’t been able to get help fast enough? What could have happened?

That Minori-kun’s sickness was really that bad….

I just wanted us to have fun outside like real men would…

Shunpei: I understand that…

But I was climbing the tree in a daze…
