Then the first kanji of "Gasshou" ("Chorus", literally "together-chant") plus the "kon" of "Konku-ru" ("Concours", "contest") make "Goukon" ("Speed-dating", literally "Together-kon, where the "kon" is short for "konpa" meaning "party"... which itself is derived from "company", but I digress... ><)]
