[TN: No, I don't know what "Tastrapa" is supposed to be, so if anyone does, by all means enlighten me. "Enchantment Equip" is just "Armationem"; it's being used without the special reading for whatever reason (I swear they just do this for the hell of it recently), so I'm rendering it in English as I usually do for the Japanese versions of Latin/Greek spell names.]

I find it weird that a genius boy like Negi didn't think of a fake Asuna when he saw her sliced up (which shouldn't have happened if she was the real one).
There aren't many characters in fantasy fiction who can figure out things like this in the middle of a battle. Offhand I can think of only two: Fritz Leiber's The Grey Mouser, and one of the heroes of Fred Saberhagen's "Empire of the East" stories.
Of course, Negi will remember, and he might figure it out by himself before Shiori breaks down.
However, Shiori says to herself "Just one more day," so whatever Fate is planning for his next move will come soon. It's too early for the big climactic battle, I think, so probably the next move is something like Goedel trapping Negi and his party somehow.
As for the fake magic cancel field, dont forget that Asuna's got stripped by Negi's disarm spell lots of time. Afraid that's not a good clue to strip Shiori's disguise. But Shiori still can be discovered because her disguise are now being disturbed by several factors.
Old chap, would you translate that wall of text? Is that similar to the wall of text in Airport Battle? you know, the battle at the start of Otherworld arc.
Just checked; it's actually the exact same text. Only even less comprehensible here, because bits of it are covered up and the reading isn't given.
One point, though, even if I'm a bit late since some groups already have scanlations out:

That doesn't make sense. He'd want to speed the regeneration, or slow the degeneration. Not slow the regeneration.
