For a long time you guys were treated to AkiDot's rendition of the final product given my convalescence back through most of October. As you probably noticed, there wasn't that much of an overt difference other than the possible exclusion of a few notes here and there. But eh, now that I'm doing Ten Comments for Bleach, I guess I'll shove in relevant/inane commentary in there. In any case, here's this week's script for c251.

Draft Notes: Some of Tatsuki's rant still doesn't have the right feeling to it, plus I had no idea what to make of some of the kanji in her last rant on page 13 (No Aki/JP dictionary at 2 am, heh). Otherwise, this is pretty complete. There was no advance JP script this week since 2ch's Kaien had to be away from his computer for periods long enough not to allow him to type up the entire chapter's worth of dialogue. Hence, this week the script had to use the raw.

I'll see you with some edits tomorrow if I get a chance to touch things up.

Script Notes: Another liberal/literal hybrid this week from yours truly and Miss AkiDot. Suffice it to say that this volume has definitely got to be my favorite since the infamous "end of hypnosis" themed v20. There's no real news to report that I think you guys haven't heard for this week so I'll just remind you guys on some future Bleach release dates:

v24 - October 4th

Both volumes have not had their cover characters or titles revealed yet.

Script Notes: First off, I have to say that going through this script in a literal fashion earlier today produced something that I just didn't have fun with. It didn't have any of that panache that I came to expect from some of my favorite characters (Urahara & Grimmjow). Therefore, this week, I went back to my liberal translation roots and decided to have some fun with what I had.

Script Notes: For some reason, all the clocks in my house stopped within a few minutes of each other. Pretty freaky considering how the power remained on all the while. Anyway, after being creeped out a bit from that I decided to sit down to a pretty good follow-up to last week's bore-a-thon here Bleach-side. We've got a new Espada revealed, more Vizard antics, Zanpakutou mood therapy(?), and portents of a new battle to come!

Script Notes: Another week, another chapter. This one was a semi-cakewalk, I suppose. Though for some reason, I feel a bit empty just reading this chapter in text. I guess it's the fact that Emo-hime didn't really hang around long enough to make the gravity of the situation in last week's installment be all that meaningful. Still, I guess it's good to see Rukia again (even if she serves as nothing more than a tool for scene transition). Overall a pretty blah chapter I'm afraid to say, but Orihime fans will get a kick out of it (+ some Vizard humor).

Script Notes: This week, Aki and I changed places; she did the bulk of the translation while I got to work on my proofing skills. Anyway, with Aizen's new interest revealed in this chapter, both of us have decided not to pass on Bleach at least until we see what everyone's favorite over-powered villainous genius has next in store.

As pocketmofo said in his script (and thanks man for covering for us while we sorted our version out), the Bleach script as provided in the original Japanese does NOT have page numbers. So please, when you decide to go ahead and ask that numbers be put in, try to recall whether or not there's an actual raw available for cross-reference.

* Apparently I misinterpreted the block of kana talking with Chad as Jinta; never saw Renji's name used in katakana. So yeah, that's going to be corrected.

As I noted earlier in the discussion thread, I didn't have time to do a full script. So this week AkiDot did most of the work with heavy edits and the like. If she ever decides to post here, give her some love. I'll see what I can do about notes later today though.

I'm not irate or bothered or anything, but when you cite the scripts go ahead and try to remember just to post a link back instead of taking the whole thread?
