Hello again, time to redo this thing. And hopefully it'll be more interesting this time around. That may be incredibly unlikely, but I'll go ahead and do it anyway.

Some random personal info:

Goal: I want to be a translator. After Japanese I plan on learning other languages.

Hobbies: Reading manga, studying Japanese, translating manga, watching TV, surfing the web, stereotypical nerd hobbies, etc.

Status of Japanese: I've learned more kanji since last time, and I think I have a better understanding of the particles as well. Unfortunately I had to take German this semester which is really cutting into my personal study time. =/

But it's funny, compared to Japanese, German is so much easier.

Mangahelpers Translator Rank: Level C

Areas to work on: Kanji, kanji, and more kanji. I want to tackle a chapter that doesn't have furigana in it by the end of this summer.

Note to those who read my translations: As I've said many, many, many times already, I'm still a new translator who hasn't fully learned the Japanese language yet. As a result I end up making some mistakes if there's nothing for me to reference. It'd be nice if other translators would provide some constructive criticism (areas to work on, etc.) among their corrections instead of just pointing out my obvious mistakes. But this is the internet after all, so I expect there to be the occasional comment that serves no other purpose than to insult me.


Random Note: So it's pretty much set in stone that I will be participating in a language intensive course in Japan this next fall semester. And I couldn't be happier! What manga fan doesn't dream of going to Japan!? ^_^
